Reviews for Sandpiper RV Resort

| Had a great time! Everything from infinity pool and oldies music to walks in the beach at sunset or sunrise. Beautiful.

We have been staying at SPRVP since it opened 4 years ago, and, until this year, have always been happy with our stay. It is convenient, close to the beach and great for walking on the Seawall. This year it was not for many reasons: 1) Inconsiderate staff - don't care attitude and poor excuses for every problem (see what follows). 2) We made our reservations for December in September and requested a site on the northeast side of the park. When we arrived we were placed in a site with a view of the building, a concrete wall & the highway. We requested a change but were told "We can't. You're here for a month." We told the staff member we were campground owners and do everything we can to make our customers happy. The reply was "We never guarantee sites." We never requested a specific site, just a specific area and several of those sites were empty for the short time we were there. 3) The first night our CO2 detector went off. Thinking it was our problem, and after checking everything, we waited another day. The smell of gas only got stronger. We complained to the office and requested a site change. We were told to "deal with it or leave." Since this represented a health problem, we opted to leave and requested our money back, We had only been there 3 days! NOTE:This is a problem that could have been solved when the first person complained (we were not the first). Our daughter called the fire department, who came to check it out. They called the gas company and the problem was corrected within 2 hours. Why did the staff not call the gas company? They did not want to! Why did they not move us - same reason. We will not be back!

The infinity edge polis very clean, and the hot tub is hot and works well. At night there are changing LED lights. There is horse riding opportunities and helicopter rides just outside the back gates to the park. Close to everything. Clean and level. We will return.

Great place. On the beach. Long wide concrete and grass sites. Quiet. Stayed here five days. Would come back. A+

Clean. Great location. Friendly staff. Everything worked as advertised. The wifi was a bit slow sometimes but never down.

I thought Sandpiper is an exceptionally nice RV park. It is very clean and well-maintained, and the concrete sites are level with adequate space between spots. The hookups are nice and clean, and well-located. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't swim at the pool, but I walked up and checked it out, and it looks very nice. They also have overflow hotel rooms that are only used if RV guests need extra room for their visitors, which is nice if you need it. I thought the location relative to the beach was perfect. It is a very short walk to Stewart Beach, yet it is just far enough away that you won't get tons of sand all over your rig. It's also in a great location to get to Pleasure Pier and all the tourist stuff that is located along Seawall Blvd. I will definitely stay here again any time I return to Galveston.

Great location on the beach and walking distance to Broadway and old downtown. Friendly staff. Nice cement pads, table and palm trees. Pool and hot tub were great. Good wifi. The only negative was that we could only get 2 nights because they are so busy! Reservations recommended. We went down to the Dellanera which is good, but 2nd best!

| Always happy here.

Good people and good company. We like the clean level cement sites and the easy beach access. No long term residents. All interesting family types here. Feels safe and we enjoyed everyone we met in the great pool / hot tub and around the park. Lots of space for big rigs. My only confusion was how to access the showers/restrooms after hours, but that may be my fault. And the pool restroom was quite a mess. We will keep returning. We love it here. We camped in a 37 ft fifth wheel and a f350 dually. Plenty of space. Good wifi.
