All the people bashing this park are stupid . If you do not have common sense then don't come here . If you know your left and right and are able to follow a few simple rules then you will be fine . Wayne has helped out so much . Got the weeds cleared . Corn roasts . Sea do rides . Wagon rides . Long weekend parties . Bob fires with everyone . It's a great park with great people . Great fishING and a very clean park . I couldn't even see us at another park where the rule list is as long as your arm . Thanks wayne can't wait for next season !!!!
Went here for labour day long weekend. With the bad reviews online I was kind of worried. Arrived and we rented a site from the owner who was really helpful . We were kinda shocked on how the park was. Great people . Very clean. He had a bouncy castle for the kids which was great . Small clean beach with great water for swimming . Kids fished off the docks and had a blast. After that there was a BBQ and dance with a DJ !!!! Lights all over the place. It was great. Very happy with our decision to come here , even with the bad reviews I will be coming here all the long weekends next summer !!!
The worst park ever theft. Damages to your property. Had our boat damaged by the owner and our riding lawn mower. stolenthe owner swears at you. Tells your bussiness toeveryone and childern are not safe in the park

As soon as you come into our park, you're on camera. The first sign as you enter the park has a camera on it and there are other ones throughout the park (including the exit at the end of the park where you enter into the next park). You can also expect to have your privacy invaded with audio taps around the park too. There is no privacy. The paranoid owner of the park knows everything you do and sees everything you do and listens to everything you say. There are legends that the bathrooms are wired but I use my own shower and toilet so I can't comment on these rumors. But the cameras and audios are for sure! Stay away. It's too weird in our park. I wish I could leave.
I wish l could put a negative star rating for this park! This park is a joke! I visited my friends park a few weeks ago in May and l love my friends but l will never go back!! I can't even really say the park is nice because after driving in it looks like a construction dump! Everyone l seen in the park seemed nice, but once l got a glimpse of how the owner treats his customers was just crazy. Ive never seen someone treat someone so rudely and badly in my life! This park owner must be like mentally unstable or something because we saw like people not doing anything wrong and they were being verbally harassed and yelled at by this man. Do not waste your time and money in this park, the horror stories we have heard about all the charges this man has especially with kids and stuff confirming it when we looked it up. I think this guy needs to have his park licence revoked and reevaluated or something because he has NO sense of customer service and what not! No wonder why people are pulling trailers out one after another!! Can wait to see my friends in a new place!

Stay away. Spend your money elsewhere. I think the owner should be on meds but refuses to take them. Deeply disturbing. Bad language, bully tactics, screaming like a lunatic... no relaxation here.

All people look at is the bad things what about all the good.I have been here 3 years owner has been very good to my self and husband he is always friendly jokes with us lens a helping hand if we need it. my daughter and grandson come up by them self he watches out for them takes my grandson on his tracker golf cart my grandson cant wait to go up there. puts up a big water slid for the kids. Has a big fire evey weekend and i mean big has a big party on the September long weekend dancing food even put up light on his fire truck witch he has let my grandson sit in the front set and take piture.the only time I have seen him up set is if your not following the rules or causing a distance.all in all the park is clean very friendly. So for all the people that are saying bad things about this guy I have to ask my self what did you do!!
Horrible park but we bought a new trailer last weekend and we're moving out! Going up for the first weekend to get our stuff out then we're out of there. Leaving our old trailer. He can have it! It's not worth anything. Then we are off to a park up the lake. Good riddance.
Got 1 star but should be a negative. W is a fat..very fat idiot with 0 Education or people skills. He has a big mouth and i was very close to smashing his face in... big talker little in the way of action. Likes to take on females or weaker park members because that's his style. park has many equipment laying around which is unsafe for kids. Don't stay at this park the money spent here is cheap but you get what you pay for. I feel sorry for the female that is claiming to be his partner, Sorry M he's a scum bag and it's a matter of time before your caught up in his scam!

The owner of this park is a complete ahole.
We left Sandshell in Sept 2014. My parents were old and they were in this park but we moved them out due to the verbal abuse from the owner. Yes there are cameras. I am not offended by this. It's good to know if someone if trespassing. The campers in the trailer park next door told us that many of them now put up deer cams each winter when they leave. They have been having problems so they put up cameras. Cameras are the least of this park's problems. It's horrible to look at, the owner yells instead of showing kindness to old people and too much underage drinking and it's allowed! Find a better park. Neither of these two parks are any good.

This is our first year at the park and I love it! People are great the owner has been nothing but helpful to us. Owner has fire on weekends for anyone who wants. He had a bbq for long weekend corn roasts jumping castle for kids on special holidays. I've seen wagon rides for the kids and lots of fun stuff. Honestly for any bad reviews there are 2 sides to every story. I can't wait to get here every weekend and the hubby spent majority of the summer at the park and loved every minute as well.
this is my 2nd season here. all the people complaining about W, i just have to say i havent seen him once this year. only M. dont know where he is
Worst park owner ever. People in the park mostly ok. Park a mess.going down hill every year. How the owner can get a liscence to run a park with his attitude , foul mouth , and his abusive attitude to the people in the park.

stayed at a friends place here. AFTER SEEING the reviews i thought he made a mistake buying a trailer . spent 3 nights there with absoulty no issues. kids fished off the dock and went for a swim. everyone had a great time.

My friends are in that park (not for long) so I went to visit them and I was shocked at how low the park has sunk since the last time I was there. I understand that the mother of the owner died and so he now has the park and it's a disaster. It looks like a total dump. Morale is at an all time low. No one is happy there. Everyone wants to leave but it's expensive to move a trailer so people like my friends just kept their heads down and hoped that the owner would grow up and start to run his park like a professional. It's not happening so now they are walking away from their old trailer because they bought a new 40 foot one in Lancaster Trailer Park. They can no longer take the stalking and harassment of the owner. How many more paying customers is he going to lose before they start to realize that the owners big mouth, his bully tactics and sneakily damaging the private property of his tenants will result in loss of revenue. These reviews are going to haunt the park. But if he changed his ways, these reviews would soon be replaced with positive and upbeat reviews and people would flock to their park.
bought a trailer used it for one night then W told us to remove our sh** from his park cause the neighbors said we wanted to keep our add on room, we knew it had to come down we just want proof from the county, but no he had made it uncomfortable and then when we had people look at the trailer he was rude and now we cant sell it cause no one wants to go up there due to all the bad that is said on the net . not your average park, your actually allowed to have fun. I checked out basically every park in the kawarthas beofore buying here. every park has crazy rules like fires out by midnight . no drinking . no golf carts no fun! The owner is a bit on the edge but all he asks for is common sense. if you do not have it , stay away. i love the trailer the park and the people . for all you saying its terrible , who is asking you to stay ? i stayed at my place for 3 months during the summer and did not have one bad encounter with anything. even the weather. yes the beach could be bigger or the tractors could be kept out back but when a tree is falling on your trailer and hes there to help you remove it , your gonna be thankful for what he has available to help people out. Love this park and wont be moving any time soon!

Yes it's true that the owner is crazy, and he blares his music at all crazy hours like 11:45 PM on a Wednesday or 8:15 AM on a Sunday. He does swear at campers and he's most unprofessional. But there is a nice wee beach, it's close to Toronto, it's a cheap place to put your trailer, there's good fishing and there's great people in the park. It's also true that it looks very messy and not kept up but if you stick to yourself and your own friends, you'll be OK. I've been here for 3 years now.
I went to visit friends and I cannot believe how awful this park is. It looks like a complete derelict construction site. There are tractors and other heavy equipment everywhere. There are piles of gravel, piles of wood, wire and other debris on every single inch of spare space. There are all old, beat up trailers everywhere and it just looks like an tired forgotten piece of land where everyone goes to dump their old trailers. Loads of open spots, which doesn't surprise me. I've read the reviews about the owner but I never saw him/her so I have no opinion. It's just that the look of the park is so unappealing. We took a walk down the road and there is another park adjacent to Sandshell... Don't know the name of it but it has lots of trees, trimmed lawns, big bright trailers and it looks like the owner takes pride in their park. At some point, the people at Sandshell are going to have to admit that it's time to clean up their park if they want to keep campers happy.

It's quite pathetic that someone puts up 10 or 11 good reviews in 24 hours. Do not believe them. the owner goes around asking his little sidekicks in the park to write them. I had the misfortune of buying a trailer in that park 2012. We were there for almost 2 full seasons. At first everything was great but then the horror started. I once drove my car to the beach but did a three point turn on the grass and instead of asking me to be careful, the owner gave a huge screaming litany of curses at me. He screams and degrades, rather than speak to you. After that, he made our lives miserable. Our boat was sank for no reason, our powerlines on our trailer were cut for no reason, and my young daughters were yelled at by Wayne everytime they were at the park. The big bonfires that the other reviewer spoke about is nothing but underage drinkers. Yes, the owner allows underage drinking in his park. He also encourages delinquency in the young teens and is a hard drinker. Everytime he gets drunk with his campers, someone ends up in hospital, jail or kicked out of the park. There are wayyyyyy better parks in the Kawarthas with a lot less drama and a whole bunch more peace. I'm telling you this: People that write good reviews are trying to get on the owners good side. They care very little for the amount of money and hard work it takes to get a trailer together for your family. I care. So I am telling you to spend your money elsewhere. There is no peace and relaxation to be had at Sandshell Park.

I bought a trailer last October at Sandshell hoping it could be my get away but i was not able to enjoy it...whenever i went there for quiet time W N ruined it always and whenever i tried having friends or family there he would come cursing always...i tried selling it but everyone knew about that trailer park and the few i did have come look at it he cursed them away so at the end of September i pulled my trailer which he thought i was going to walk away and leave it there for him but the joke is on him cuz i pulled it out of there and was able to sell it then. And as for him charging hst he couldnt even provide the hst number so he has been frauding for years.
We are walking away from our trailer and this park at Thanksgiving. We have a new one being delivered to our new park the week before. The owner is phycho and it's not worth getting into it with him over us leaving so we are quietly walking away. Stay away. It's depressing. Every morning at 8:00 he blasts some Johnny Cash or a kiddie song at the top octave of his stereo. He's a freak. I'm so happy to be moving on.
The owner of this trailer park cut off power an water to the hole tralier park for no reason he has done nothing here an no wander why nobody likes him , an iv seen everybody had said that you havwnt seen him around the park till know thats bc he was in jail for assault an his second ocouner ? No wander why you havent seen him around ? Like really he should be in jail but you gotta love the law ! If i had tp rate this park it would a a o-5 bc of the owner but most of the people in the trailer park are very nice people . Other then the fact that the owner , if you are wanting to by a trailer here dont ! Its not worth the money or what you have to put up with you can fined alot nicer places to get a trailer an to be able to go to a trailer park ! Do not come here ! Its cheap for a reason not bc its good !

I went here this past weekend to see a trailer that's for sale. The current owner of the trailer told me to pretend we were friends because he was terrified to tell the park owner that he's leaving and selling his trailer on August 1st. I was a bit perplexed so I looked online to see what I could find on this park and came across these reviews. The man I bought the trailer from told me stories that fall in line with these reviews. Too bad for the campers.
This is my first year in the park, as well has being a first time trailer owner. I love the people in the park. However the owner could care less about how he talkes to you. He uses valgure laungage in front of the kids. He is a very angry and mean indivdual. I am already considering moving out next season as he has made my first experiance horrible so far. This was suppose to be a peacefull get away.
Stay away. It's not relaxing at all. Too stressful. Don't waste your money.

WATCH YOUR CHILDREN. He was hooked for sexually assault just this past year! The girl was only 16.. This is sickening and i cant believe my grandma is still here helping him run this place i will never ever let my daughter Claire back here again nor go near him!!.. Everybody just stay away especially if you have children i am so sick just thinking of him. He is SICK in the head. And i feel sorry for all you campers. He needs to rot in jail!

READ CAREFULLY. NO BIASES IN REVIEW. I was looking to buy a trailer here so made arrangements to call the owner to go see it. He was downright abusive with plenty of adjectives F***. A nasty man. I wouldn't take my family anywhere near such a man. I believe every negative review here and glad I didn't sink money in this park though the trailer was appealing. To those whom he is nice, would say look deep into why he is being nice and keep careful. Hope someone benefits from this word of caution. Would give a negative if possible for such an owner

Not safe here. Kids driving golf carts. Owner driving tractor and gold carts fast like an idiot. No supervision for teens at night and no accountability for their actions from their parents. The owner has stupid rules like no dog poop in the garbage cans but your kid can drink if he's 16! Go somewhere else. 6 foot bay is nice. We are here now and it's really good.
