Reviews for Saugerties / Woodstock KOA

We have stayed here twice now. This is a small family run KOA campground set in the woods between Saugerties and Woodstock. It is very convenient to the NY Thruway for overnight stays. Between Saugerties and the original town of Woodstock there is plenty to see. They have information about local attractions at the store. The sites are located in the woods, not in rows in the sun with no shade so it makes for a nice stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Overall a good place to overnight or stay for a while

| Beautiful in Fall

Lots of trees here. The campground has the look of being in the woods rather than perfectly manicured lawns. Sites are level. There is a mini store on site with rv supplies and basic toiletries and groceries. Managers are very friendly and helpful. This place is stunning in the fall. It is a bit pricey, but so is the cost of living in this area.

More camping style than we prefer from a KOA. Our primary goals were to visit Bethel/Woodstock festival site, New York City, along with local historical sites. For those goals, this park served our purpose well. Our site was okay but, for a pull through, we would have preferred a bit more level and a little less dust.

| Very clean

We had a nice drive through site that was very easy in and out. There is a fire dept nearby and siren does sound at any time. This campgrounds is close by Woodstock for eats and shopping. Overall no issues and would use again.

| Not for big rigs

This place was not for us. I can see it working out for small tv's but not for big motor homes. Too many trees with branches that touched the top of our motor home. Also because of all the trees we did not get any tv reception. It was also to make any turns with our car in tow.
