We stayed in Eastport to visit friends and go to Campobello Island. This park is right on the Bay and the location couldn't be better. The internet was by the hour, really! Our Verizon phones and Hot Spot didn't work in Eastport but we didn't come for the technology. We stayed for 3 nights $171 including taxes and while that was a little steep the location made it okay. 30amp, water and sewer were okay. TV reception was terrible but again THE VIEW! Laundry was a joke but the only place in town so we made do. Again, we don't stay for the park, we stay for the location and this one was great.
Fantastic views of Passamaquatty Bay from many of the sites. Bar and restaurant on site. Friday night pot luck is fun. We were here in 2011 and had to come back. Owners very friendly. They also got us lobsters for a great price.
Nice campground with great views of the water from some sites. Hosts are super nice, bathrooms and showers clean but small, small laundry. Excellent food at restaurant on site - The Old Sow. Reasonable prices. Don't mistake Eastport for closest town to Campobello though. The bridge to Campobello is at Lubec.
Some sites more level than others. Some sites have grass or gravel. Ours unfortunately had mud and had to raise starboard side of 5th wheel almost 5 inches. Should never have accepted that site. CG is close to downtown Eastport though. Didn't use the bathhouse but the laundry was old, tired and not very clean. Would stay here again but would be more cognizant of what site you're assigned. FYI-look at it before you hook up. Skip the uneven mud sites.
Got assigned a really less than level site that was dirt, no gravel and muddy. Yes, some sites have views, but not that many. Owners on site but indifferent. For the money, we would not stay there again. If you choose this CG, look at the site they're putting you in before you park or detach. Staying here was a learning curve.
Must admit I had misgivings about this place. Traveling with a couple of other coaches and wasn t sure the sites would work for us. However, although they are not paved and some were on grass, it worked. WiFi is pretty good. We were right on the water so the views were great. We would return.
