| Quiet campground with plenty of shade

We stayed at Shady Firs RV Park for five nights in a 40’ fifth wheel and really enjoyed our stay there. We got the Passport America rate of $17 per night. We had our choice of many available sites. Normally we would have taken one of the pull-through sites in the open field for satellite reception but, since it was over 100 degrees for three straight days, we opted for a large back-in site under a canopy of tall fir trees. We were fortunate to get one of the two sites with a sewer hookup but, if not, there is a dump station on site ($5 charge). The bathrooms and laundry rooms were well maintained. The owners were very friendly. We were able to wash the road dirt off our vehicles on one of the grassy sites. We had no cell service on AT&T but our guests had no problem with Verizon. We would definitely return if back in that area.

My husband and I just spent 5 days here at Shady Firs and we had such an amazing experience. The owners were so friendly and helpful!! Cliff gave us fresh corn on the cob and squash that he had just picked from his garden. While we were grilling the squash some deer walked right in front of our site. The camp sites were quiet, spacious, and level. The whole park was grassy with plenty of shade, which was perfect for our 2 dogs. I would definitely recommend this park and will be visiting again!!

| Peaceful setting

Shady, small campground with friendly staff. Easy access to town (by car) and great location for visiting Ranier and Mt. St. Helens. We had a site with good satellite position with loads of room around us. Big grassy areas. Some construction going on for improvements in the campground but didn't interfere with our pleasant stay. Bathrooms and laundry available. Plenty of room for our 38' motorhome and towed vehicle. Not a lot of amenities (no wifi but Verizon signal adequate) but for the price and location, we recommend. $25/night with Passport America.
