This is our favorite place. We commute to work from Shady Grove and love the views. No sewer, 2 week maximum, gates open at 7 AM & close at 10 PM, guests must leave by 9 PM, no alcohol, quiet hours 10 PM to 7 AM Be careful if you are swimming near shore as the currents can be deceptive-always wear a life jacket. Limited space for big rigs, but our 40 fits about 15 of the sites. 30 day booking window, no online system, Opens in March and closes November. Rates vary based on senior discount, which site you use. The county is talking about a remodel on the older side of the park, check for an update in 2015

Shady Grove is our favorite campground on Lake Lanier. The sites are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We stayed there several times last season.
Close to our home in Alpharetta, GA. We can get off work at 5:00 PM and be at the campground by 5:45 PM. Great spot to get away for the weekend. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. We've stayed there several times now and will be frequent future visitors as well!!
