Reviews for Shady Pines RV Park

| Very nice

By user-6413626... on 2017-10-23.

We arrived after the office was closed. They had a paper on the office window letting late arrivals know what site they were to use. The sites were clearly marked so we were able to find and setup at our site with no issues. The place is very well maintained. Would go there again.

Almost don't want to share its to good to be true. Small campground but large cement sites with some shade the cleanest and most up to date restrooms and showers we have come across Friendly people free fishing pond with good size fish. Mostly adult campers. Only downfalls were no pool or cable But very strong internet

Really nice and clean RV park. Roads and pads paved and dry. No cable tv or playground for kids, but great adult park. Cost was $27 for Good Sam and well worth it. Would stay here again.

This was a very impressive park. It is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Almost all sites are pull-through, and quite spacious. The pads and roads are all concrete, and the utility connections are all in great condition. There's a stocked fishing pond as well. On the night I stayed, I was told there was no reservation needed, so when I got there I just chose the site I wanted and pulled in. Since I arrived after hours I just left cash in an envelope at the office drop box. It's a little far from the main highways, but I thought it was worth driving a few miles. I would stay here again.

This RV park is wonderful. The grounds are immaculate, the showers and the toilet facilities spotless, and the sites, themselves, are spacious, concrete pads with well-trimmed grass between. Roads are concrete and drains extremely well. Last evening we had a 1-2 inch rain and we awoke this morning to a completely dry site and margins and dry streets. There is a lot of pride being shown by the owners and it is very evident in the newness of the connections including the WiFi which is very strong. No cable but I was able to get excellent reception on my Casita trailer's inside (12 HD channels) antenna. I believe that you will really enjoy this park.

| Great little park

This is our second overnight stay at Shady Pines RV Park and we were very impressed both times. The campground is associated with the Shady Pines RV Center which is next door. That was very important this trip as we had a major mechanical problem with our RV and the service staff came over immediately to help solve the problem. Our pull-through site was a long, level concrete pad and had great hookups. We will continue to make this campground our "go to" stop when we are in the Texarkana area.

Very nice RV park. Only stopped over night, but overall very clean. The woman at the front desk even suggested taking a spot closer to the back to stay away from traffic noise. Very welcoming. World definitely go back.

| Nice, affordable stop

This is a lovely park with clean facilities, paved sites, and an easy in and out. After Good Sam's discount, it is only $27/night - well worth the $. There's no TV service or playground, but the park is run in conjunction with an RV sales and service center, which could be handy. Some of the sewer hook-ups are level with or uphill from the dump valve and are bowl shaped to keep any overflow from going on the ground. It was impossible to hook our 90-degree elbow to the sewer drain.

| Best park and value

This without a doubt the best park we stayed in on this trip. Large sites, concrete, level and plenty long enough. Staff helpful and friendly. We have stayed in four different parks in Texarkana and have now found the only park we will stay in again.

We only stayed one night, but the park was nice and clean as well as quiet. It was relaxing to look out at the water. The sites were very large as well. So easy to pull in and out. Would definitely go back.

Clean and neat park, well maintained. Concrete pads, back-in and pull thru. Full hook-ups. Showers, laundry and ice are available. Very nice fishing pond. No pool or cable, and a little road noise.
