Reviews for Shenandoah Valley Campground

| Nice place and great location

Great staff at a family run park. We stayed for 8 days. Its only half a mile to the Shenandoah Caverns which is a great place to visit. Their wifi is great and the area is open to good satellite reception.

Very nice brand new park. Right next door to Shenandoah Caverns. Clean pool and rest rooms. Right off the highway and easy to find. Great place to overnight. Long and wide sites, great for big rigs, and a wonderfully helpful family owned park.

Nice new park about 3 years old. 2 parks of same name in the area. 2nd stay here convenient when traveling I81. Open all year pet friendly.

| Nice CG!

It's a gem. Friendly staff, large level pull throughs and clean facilities. Bit noisy as close to I-81 but once inside, quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a brand new park. Clean pool and rest rooms. Helpful staff, family owned. Right off I-81, easy to find, right next to Shenandoah Caverns. Sites are big rig friendly, long, wide and level. Full hookups with cable. We stayed in a 42 foot motor home and would return.

| Great campground.

Very clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful owners. Walking distance to Shenandoah caves (worth seeing). Right off interstate 81.

| Great stop over

Staying 1 night while traveling South on I-81. Can see and hear traffic, won't interfere with tonight sleep too cold to have windows open. Might be noisy for day time outside activities or open window sleep. Staff attentive, helpful. Will stay again.

| Nice place

This is a great place for a stopover in Virginia. Nice level gravel sites. The owners are so nice and helpful. Will stay here again! Easy to find off I-81, yet for enough away that interstate noise is heard as sort of a lite background noise.

| Fabulous park

By user-5229551... on 2017-10-23.

Perfectly thought out with pool (it is closed this time of year but looked nice), swings, cabins, and level RV spots long enough for any size RV and wide grassy areas (plenty of space to be outside with the dogs) without being on top of the neighbor. The highway noise didn't stop us from sitting out, enjoying the tree line and having a fire for marshmallow roasting. It is only a short walk to Rt 11 potato chip factory and a short drive to the covered bridge, wineries, Old Hill Cider, caverns, etc. We enjoyed a nice weekend!

| Convenient to I-81

Great campground. Everything is brand new and well thought out. Has all the amenities. The roads and pads are gravel, but there is a big grassy perimeter that is good for dog walking. The only negatives might be lack of shade and noise from I-81.

This place is awesome, the people, facilities, and appearance of the camp ground is on part with all reviews.. Road noise is a annoyance but my opinion bearable...

| Great stopover

Sites are gravel and fairly level, large enough to fit our 40' MH and PU without unhooking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi is typical campground wifi, in and out at times. Decent cable. Only drawback is it's adjacent to highway and noisy. We would stop again.

We travel this area 3 times a year & have previously had trouble finding a decent place to stay. So happy to have found this one. Immaculately clean, very friendly owners & they have a cafe area, so we got breakfast! Big rig friendly and handy on/ off I81

| Bad addition...

By user-5571758... on 2017-10-23.

I would agree with most of the older reviews, but it appears that very recently the owners installed "pedestal lights" on or near every spot. Not a big problem at the pull thru sites but makes all the back-in spots practically impossible to get into. I actually hit one, and being here 2 nights, we have watched all the others suffer to get in also. Owner doesn't have a clue. Plus, I have a 36 foot pull behind, and the utility's are placed at the very front of this back in site. Only place to put camper is all the way forward, almost out in road. Very poor planning. All the pull thru sites were full, so we had to take this one. Also, there is no shade at all and I-81 is about 100 yards away. And yes, it is noisy enough to be a bother. So, I give it a 2-star rating.

| Nice overnite stay

Good level sites, raining the night we stayed so sites were somewhat muddy - gravelled. Campground overall very clean and well kept. Trees planted recently will be gorgeous one day! Agree with another reviewer that pavement of utilities (sweet, water, etc) was close to road so a backed-in coach needs long connection hoses/sewer/elec lines to reach them. Back of park is close to highway but with windows closed the noise didn't bother us. Fenced-in off-leash dog park a plus. Friendly folks. Very good value for the money. Would stay again. Close to attractions.
