Very well kept park like setting. Quiet park with cement flat sites. Fantastic wifi and a hundred cable channels. A perfect park.

Really nice people.... we hauled in late grabbed a spot and some firewood....had all facilities .... lots of hot water in shower. Showers need to be freshened up, though. Great fire pits. Absolutely beautiful! Would definitely go back again.

Love this Campground. A bit of a drive from Bar Harbor, but the large sites make it worth it. WiFi is good. Site is peaceful, no trains, no traffic noise. Did not use the outdoor pool, but it looked very nice. Would definitely stay again

This is a great campground! We tend to stay mostly at state/ city/county and Forest Service campgrounds, but we encountered a storm, and wanted to be in a place with amenities and a location to see us through. Smugglers Den did not disappoint. We selected a concrete pad. Other sites are gravel, but looked well packed and reasonably level. Some sites have more privacy barriers between than others. Good clean showers and laundry. Welcoming and friendly staff. We were able to purchase a roll of quarters for the laundry as well as a cable for TV at the office.

Spent 6 nights at the park on a full hook-up site. The RV section was efficiently packed in without feeling too overcrowded. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Free hot showers were really nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of walking trails right from the RV park, but Acadia is less than 5 min. away on the quiet side of the island, or Park Loop Road about 15 min away. Would stay again.

Came in after a long drive on a wet grey day and a 20 mile detour on a dirt road. So my mood was not the best. Greeted with a luke warm reception from the evening host and received dagger stares from her boyfriend. I went back to read the reviews thinking I selected the wrong place. Things got better the next day. The place is beautiful and the camps are large and clean. Talked to several other staff this morning who where VERY friendly and helpful. Bath houses are a little dated but clean. They smell nice too. Update... Day 5. Very friendly and accommodating people. We like it here and would stay again.

From the pictures it kind of looked like camper city which we've always tried to stay away from. But everything near Acadia national park seems to be that way, so we took a risk. When we got there it appeared even worse than we thought. But we were wrong. It is a very lovely campground. It was quiet, well laid out, had a playing field, basketball pad, horseshoes, big playground. We would go back. The free bus comes right to the Campground.

Kept deposit even with nearly a 60 day notice of cancelation. We couldn't do the trip because of issues out of our control.
