Reviews for Snake River RV Park & Campground

| Old and dirty. August 2017

By user-5328850... on 2017-10-23.

Bathrooms are needing updating and cleaning. Three shower stalls. One drain which which accumulates everything. Mold in handicapped bathroom stall which is connected to shower. Bugs all over bathroom counter. Cracks in bathroom stall floors. Site was dirt and not level. Pool was dirty. Needs filter. This is the only campground in Idaho Falls. I would recommend staying someplace before you get to Idaho Falls or drive to the next city. Front staff unfriendly and certainly did not go out of their way. I would recommend not staying here. Stayed 2 days.

This park was a diamond in the rough. The camp host Doug went above and beyond what customer service is all about. Had a wonderful site next to a running stream and fell to sleep while listening to the water, so very peaceful. Will certainly return again when passing through ID.

| Good sites and lovely pool

By user-4695791... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed in early July, was busy but not full. Reception was friendly and helpful. Showers and restrooms very clean and the pool was lovely. Wifi was a little slow but working. Would stay again.

| Nice, but busy

This park is conveniently located near I-15 and Hwy 20. Tucked in between agricultural grain elevators and the highway, occasionally you can hear the grain being loaded onto the trucks which is a bit loud. Because it is near the main corridor of I-15, carrying traffic to Glacier NP and beautiful northern Idaho, most of the campers are overnighters. Someone was always coming or going, sometimes as late as 10:00 p.m. headlights shining into our RV. Our site had a wide patch of grass between us and the next site, but most sites are pretty close together. The good: Pleasant and efficient staff who will go out of their way to help. Nice facilities, decent amenities, convenient to downtown Idaho Falls and a $2 pancake breakfast each morning at 0800. Shade trees throughout. Utilities were fine, good water and clean power. Overall, this is a good park for a short stay, but not recommended for longer stays due to the daily turnover and noise.

| VERY VERY PRICEY!!!

Stayed one night which was the most expensive Good Sam discounted park of our four week Western excursion. Look for another park!

| Okay... but lots of noise

By user-5515726... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-09-06 to 2016-09-11

Not a bad place for a couple of nights. The spaces are decent, they have a pool, laundry/bathrooms are okay, and pretty good WiFi. However, there is no cable TV. But the biggest issue is the noise. The park is sandwich between the train tracks and the airport; and between Hwy 20 and I-15 (the trucks are the biggest noise factor). Additionally, if you're unlucky and get the back "E" row, you have a bar with loud music and a wood cutting business behind the fence. Just bring your ear plugs for sleeping.

| Cramped park

By user-5821122... on 2017-10-23.

Good water pressure, voltage, and mostly big rig friendly. Internal roads and pads are fine crushed gravel. Overall the park is pretty cramped. Sites could a little more level. Average park overall at best.

This park is at a very convenient location in Idaho Falls and it's pretty well maintained and appears quite safe. It has all the amenities including free WiFi but the connection was very slow and the park is currently nearly empty. The park is showing some age and getting a bit run down overall. The pool and hot tub (an above ground home style hot tub) were empty and the ground around torn up so maybe they are doing repairs. The staff was very friendly at check in and the store was neat and stocked with the basics. We have stayed in previously and I would certainly stay here again.

| Great facilities

Nice place to tent camp on the road. Large sites, well marked, and good shower facilities.

Nice older park located near the freeway but still quiet. Situated in an industrial area so not very scenic. Hot tub and pool weren't open during our stay. Close to Idaho Falls, dining, and site seeing.

We just stayed there for 3 nights...place is nice, clean and well maintained..bathrooms were clean and well heated. Staff was exceptionally nice making arrangements for my daughters site and ora to face each other. Made it really easy for us. Dog parks are clean, playground is awesome for the kids. The place is old but nice. We do a lot of traveling and this is rated among the best. If you are looking for a place that you don't feel like your camping this isn't it. The kids loved feeling like they were in the mountains camping. We didn't have any problem with noise on any of our 3 nights..thank you again..

The RV park is okay. Gravel spaces. It's located in an Industrial area with lots of noise during the day, and trains all times of the day and night. The all you can eat breakfast for a reasonable fee was a nice feature. It's near the Snake river, lots of bugs.

| Nice oasis.

Good sites and well maintained. Very nice enclosed dog park. Would definitely stop here again.

After at least 10 years they have finally priced me out of their market. They have all the amenities, most of which I don't want or need but it's jacked the price out of my ballpark. With the bigger rigs it's getting tight to get in or out of your site. Bye, bye...

| Nice older park

This is the closest park to downtown Idaho Falls. It is an old KOA (still has a-frame office. We were there on a busy festival weekend in Idaho Falls and the park was full. There were a couple of large party groups but they did not cause any problems and quieted down early. The spaces were a little tight but there was lots of grass and shade and picnic tables at every site. The cost was a little higher than we would have liked but it did have location (close to downtown Idaho Falls) and easy access. The falls were spectacular with a heavy snow melt. The downtown seemed to be economically challenged but the old buildings were interesting with a few businesses open. Try the Ford's Bar for some local flavor and very cheap drinks.

| Great playground, nice area

By user-4841024... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-04-17 to 2019-04-18

This was a well developed RV park. Quite disappointed the hot tub was also (pool I expected to be) closed for the season, but the kids loved the playground. Saw a small shop with bike rentals. Walking trails along river not too far away. It s in a city so there s still traffic humm and airport and occasional train but not at night. Close to amenities. Friendly staff and nice office/store area. Clean restrooms. A bit pricy for just the night but had discounts for military and Good Sam. I paid $46.78 with Good Sam discount included.

| Hello neighbor!

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

We read reviews on this park and were quite surprised at the high rating this park had. We travel all over and this park is at the bottom for sure. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the park itself is unimpressive. The sites are set up so that when you open your door, you see your neighbors door too. There is a small grassy area between the sites that has a shared grill, two picnic tables and two firepits but who wants to look at their neighbors! The grass was dead all throughout the park, the gravel was sparse, there was no pavement etc. I won t stay at this park again.

| Very friendly helpful hosts

We had a horrible drive from N. California to Idaho Falls for a wedding. We did not have reservations, but the people here were fantastic. Clean spaces, clean bathrooms and pool. We were only going to stay one night but ended up staying 4. We were able to just beg for a few days and really enjoyed the park. The all you can eat pancake breakfast for $3 was a bonus. Thanks for making are stay restful.
