Cock Roaches
By user-4983744... on 2017-10-23.
The people are very nice, the facility is adequate, the ease of maneuvering a 42' Class A was outstanding; however the grounds were crawling with roaches. It was like a scene from one the of Harrison Ford movies, at first you noticed only a few then all of the sudden they were everywhere. We spoke to one of the employees about this and were told that these are Water Roaches and they are looking for water. She told us that they are working on this problem so it may get better. Until we see posting that assure us that the roaches are gone we will avoid this place.

We stayed here last night. Half way to our destination near pollock pines. Very friendly accommodating owners. We had a late arrival and our check in paperwork was ready for us just to fill in and park! Great location off the I-5 with orange groves and almond groves adjacent ....Nice central pool, restroom showers and clean! Tom and Patty

Not an Oasis
By user-5795539... on 2017-10-23.
We booked here because of the reviews and the website description. Believe me, this is not an Oasis. The alleged LAWN / GRASS is nothing more than dirt with A LOT of gopher / ground squirrel holes. You have to watch your footing when walking or you might twist an ankle. The sites are extremely narrow. With my main awning extended, I am only 1 foot from the neighbor's slide out. Your sitting area is right next to your neighbor's water, electric and sewer hookup. Although they give you WiFi coupons, don't bother. Impossible to get a connection.
This place could be an oasis with just a little work. First of all, get rid of the in-between sites. Give the people a little more room to enjoy their stay. Fill in all the holes in the lawn before someone breaks a leg or twists an ankle. Improve you WiFi. Then... You can call yourselves an OASIS along I-5.

Nice Little RV Park
By user-6450985... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2015-11-21 to 2015-11-22
This was my second visit to the park. It is a nice little park. Perfect for an overnight stay. Roomy pull through sites which allowed us to leave our tow car attached.
They have a small pool which was not open in November but I probably would not have used it anyway.
There is a store and small Mexican fast food place about a block away. If you want to shop at a super market there is one in Coalinga about 9 miles away.
I'm planning to stop again on my way home next week.

Just to be clear
By user-4791368... on 2017-10-23.
I'm writing a review just to help clarify what is here. There are not many RV park at this location along I5. If you are looking for a spot to pull over for the night this place will work. You could substitute the word "tolerate" for "Will Work". This place is definitely NOT an Oasis and the dead grass with gopher holes noted in the other review is absolutely correct. It's pretty rough and worn out but the folks in the other RVs were friendly. The wifi name for the password given did not appear on my screen.

The phone is disconnected or changed

We had planned to stay, but the Vaal just kept getting a message that the number had changed or was disconnected.

Not because you want to...
By user-5493910... on 2017-10-23.
It was just time to pull off the road but we needed hookups because our generator was acting up. This place is between "meh" and "gross". The first spot they assigned us was next to a "full-timer" and as soon as we opened our door we heard Shakira blasting at full base. We scoped out an empty spot farther away and ran back to ask if we can just move there. They charged us $2 but it was worth it for the quiet. Slept good and left early. Be warned to have low expectations and they will be met.

Groves
By user-5812673... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2015-12-05 to 2015-12-09
This is a nice park with a very pleasant staff. All pullthrus with good wifi and cheap diesel next door at the AM/PM. We walked through the almond grove at the back of the park wich lead to a lemon grove where we found a very nice man who explained the groves to us and then picked some lemons for us. Across the road in front of the park are huge orange groves. Most people only stay for a day or two as their is not a lot to do. The R.C. Baker Museum in Coalinga is worth a visit.

Very nice RV park just about half way up from LA to the Bay Area. Smith is wonderful and just a really nice guy that will help you with your check in. All of the sites are pull through and so it is very easy to get in and out. They have very nice sites with plenty of room between sites. There is excellent television reception here. We received over 100 channels including a TV Guide on channel 4. They used to have wonderful lawns between sites but with the extreme drought conditions they were not able to keep watering the lawns. Still in the winter and spring you can still see remnants of the old lawns. Even the Almond grow next door has all its almonds trees torn up and now dead. Hopefully with heavy rain this year they will ease up on the water restrictions and Smith can water his lawns. But beware one problem. The Arco station has gone and they have a Shell and a Valero station that charge very high prices. Would not recommend getting gas here. Wait until you get farther north. Prices drop considerably as you head north.

Leaves a lot to be desired
By user-5771977... on 2017-10-23.
Flat, hot, dusty, not a hint of green. Dust covers all, $40.00 gives you electric, water and sewer. That price includes any discount. It is not the end of the Earth but you can see it from here.

No grass, which doesn't bother me because I would rather have food production. Hot showers, I'd stay again when traveling through. Office manager helpful in route assistance. Stayed in February 2018, $40

BEST place to stay
By user-5015988... on 2018-05-17.
Been staying her since 1996 on the way South and back. All ways helpful.
By user-4885026... on 2018-05-17.
This was great for an overnight stop. It is behind a gas station and right off of I-5. The owners were very accommodating even though I never met them. I called day-of to report a late arrival. The blocked the site with a cone to prevent a walk-in from taking the site. We arrived after closing and left before opening time. Sites are small and it's not a resort, but for the purpose I needed it worked great. Will stay again if passing through.

Quite a few live-ins and a little junkie because of that. But lots of birds singing and owner seems nice.

Convenient
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-03-09 to 2019-03-10
We knew we would have a long drive north from Palm Desert and decided this would be a good stopping point. It is conveniently located on the west side of I-5 behind an orange grove. We called a couple days ahead to make reservations. No charges were made but held the cc # in case we didn t show up. We received an email confirmation with our assigned site number on it . When we arrived there was no one in the office but because we had the site number we were able to go directly to our site and start setting up. While setting up the manager/owner came by to let us know he was headed back to the office. Very pleasant conversation while paying. The sites are gravel and very long, level and it didn t feel like we were right on top of each other. We were able to receive many over the air tv channels. We were not able to get connected to Dish which the man had said was difficult. They are also in the process of upgrading their Wi-Fi which is definitely needed. We were only able to be on it for less than 3 minutes before it disappeared. We would stay again if another stay was needed in this location.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
It's a shame that this park has been let go so badly. There are weeds everywhere. When you drive up to the office, the yard art is all tipped over. That's not a real issue except it's an indication of how the park is being maintained. It appears they may weed eat and spray the weeds, but none are removed.
The sites have good power and are long enough for a 40' and tow. Luckily they put the overnites away from the adjacent truck stop so noise is minimal.
The price is high for the condition of the park, but they are the only rv park for 80 miles so they can get away with it. Hopefully they will clean up the park. It has great potential.
