Kid friendly, quiet on beach side (road right behind other side, not too loud though). Bathrooms and showers leave a little to be desired. Pay showers. Each site has picnic table and fire pit. Very friendly staff!! Water spouts every few sights. Heard they have a few hook up sites now??? Sites are very wide and spacious. Dirt sites, no grass. Not windy at all when we were here. No bugs either! Overall, highly recommended for tents and trailers/rvs

This State Park does take RVs. It is within walking distance of a small shopping center. There is onsite laundry, which gets busy at times. We noticed the weekends attracted more families and there were kids everywhere. There is a pretty constant stream of walkers, runners and surfers passing through the park, especially in morning and evening hours. We were there in February and enjoyed great weather.

Booked out most of the time, I was lucky enough to walk in and get a site. Good views and large sites. $35 for inland and $50 for coastal dry sites $1 for 2 shower tokens each token is 2 minutes.

Great place to camp. Close walk to beach. There is a Camp store available, which is great for those things you always forget. The only thing I didn't like was the generator restriction which is from 8 pm to 10 am.

The campground is a family favorite. We stay at the campground twice a year (April and August). Beautiful views from the beach side sites. It is always a popular place so try to make reservations months prior to visit. There may be available sites that open day of. We have shown up at check-in (2pm) without reservations and occassionally gotten a space. We have also visited at peak season and waited in line hours before the rangers get there (8am) to grab a campground only to be turned away. So plan ahead. Also be advised, there are a lot of people around. If you are looking for a quite semi-private place to stay, this may not be for you.

We stayed two nights in class a rv and trailer, beach side with no hookups, $50 a night. Gorgeous beach, very clean. Stairway down to the beach. Great area, safe and family atmosphere. Campsite fireplace and picnic table at every site. You can dump tanks at the dump station on the grounds, with fresh water fill at the station. Laundry for $2.25 a load of wash. Pets allowed but no dogs on the beach. Checkout at noon. Only complaint is the customer service, particularly when checking in. It was a total fluster of activity with “too many chiefs and not enough Indians.” Seven employees at the window plus volunteers, no one knew what was going on. It just really could use improvement. Also, they don’t allow checkin before 2 pm, so we ended up driving the highways for an hour and a half in our rig, waiting to be able to go to the campsite.

| Great Ocean View

We stayed here on 11-12-2018. We were right on the water. Woke up to the surfer boys surfing. Great place but they charge 10.00 for the dump station and you have 15 minutes to dump and flush your tanks. All of California is going to this. Time to leave California. After spending 50.00 with no electric or site water and coin showers you have to pay another 10.00 for sanitation. Haven't found this in any other state so far. It is a nice park and not the parks fault about the 10.00.
