Very nice state park. We have stayed here several times. The Llano River runs through it and is constantly flowing. It is a nice kayak and canoe trail all the way to Junction. Very good hiking and biking trails of all levels. The wild turkey roost area is unique during mating and you will see a lot of wild turkey, deer and other animals in the park.Very nice RV and tent camping areas and a lot of trees. Another hidden gem in the Texas State Park system.

Beautiful, clean park! The sites are comfortably spaced so you're not right on top of your neighbor! We were at site 21 which was roomier than most. The sites are nice and level as well. It's a bit of a hike to the water. We hiked to the tube exit area where we stayed and swam in the water and watched for tubers. We're told that the trip from tube entrance (at front of park) to the tube exit took about 2 hours to complete so it's worth the tube rental. We didn't know it was that long so we didn't rent tubes but we know for next time :)

Working our way back to Virginia, we needed an overnight spot. Because we love State parks, we made an effort to leave the road and fine this gem. We will go back. An old ranch, preserved by the owner for the enjoyment of the camping/hiking community. Read all the history while you're here.
