We camped here in late September after the camp hosts were gone for the season. South loop was closed. No reservations but "walking up" at 4pm on a Saturday was fine, still several spots available. Campground itself is nothing special. Decent separation but no privacy as all undergrowth has been removed. Ample tree cover though, as this is in a forested area. Dumpsters and vault toilets were available. Behind (west) of campground is a nice meadow with several trails through it. I think the Colorado Campground a little to the north would be better as you can walk to Manitou Lake, but that campground closed Sept 4th this year (uhh what?)
