This is a very spacious, new campground with lots of shade. This park could easily fit twice as many sites in it. It is so nice not being parked right next to your neighboring camper. We easily fit 16 people in our site for a campfire cookout. It is easy in, easy out right off highway 39. It is 3 miles to the nearest boat launch and 4 miles to the grocery store. It has 6 pull through sites and 3 back in sites. Almost all site have full hook ups and a fire ring. (One back in is water and electric only.) Most sites have a picnic table. Campfire wood is available. Owners live onsite and are very helpful. When we arrived we were concerned about some low branches at our site. The owners came right out and trimmed the branches. They are local and knowledgeable of the area. They can offer suggestions and information about the area including lake and river activities. This is a brand new RV campground with big rig friendly amenities very close to State Parks, Stockton Lake Corp of Engineer public use areas and the town of Stockton, MO stores and restaurants. The owner is very accessible and easy to reach for reservations. We found the campground to have six pull-thru and three back-in sites with 50 amp, full hookups and lots of peaceful shade with picnic tables. We definately plan to return to the Stocton area and South Oaks RV RV Park.
