Access road was flooded so took the 15 mile journey north to Bellvue state forest campground. It's perfect!
This place is set between the Mississippi River and a small lake on the tip of a very small island. The sites are fairly spaced with great views. Some are paved, they do have some pull through, but the best sites are on the lakeside and are unpaved and back in. Giving you a fantastic panoramic view of the lake if you have a back window. I feel the previous review gives an unfair rating considering the time they attempted to stay. The Mississippi River was flooded beyond belief this entire spring from top to bottom. We stayed in Arkansas in late June and many places were experiencing the same thing. Mother Nature had her own plans this year and the campground should not be faulted for it. This gem was the perfect place we were looking for to decompress and relax after some long travel days heading back east.
