The best thing about Southen Aire are the residents. Extremely friendly, helpful and fun. I enjoyed my social time here very much. The manager seemed uninterested but I'm willing to assume he was just having an off day. The lot I was on wasn't very level, and were told it was all they had (3 days later and I can still see 15/20 empty lots, only booked for 4 days), so had a terrible time making my trailer level. Fortunately one of the residents came and helped me out. (Almost a 8 block difference from side to side and I had to raise my left wheel by 3). Lots are sand and grass, the place is quite wooded. Pool times were very limited, only 10am until dusk (I enjoy my early morning swims before I head out for the day). Seemed no reason to have the pool hours limited. The pool & hot tub were clean and warm. Shower blocks were tired and individual showers were very narrow. It was clean but old, could do with an upgrade. The two bikes in the gym were broken. Free wifi limited to the corner of the club house only. But both T-Mobile & Verizon have good signal. (There was a pay wifi system but I couldn't get it to work on mobile devices). Basically it's a "ok" campground, close to Tampa (specifically the fairgrounds, just a straight 10 min drive), quiet, but friendly. I'd only return because of the residents.
