Stayed over night. Nice wooded park. Good drive through sites. Clean bathrooms and reasonable price on laundry. Some freeway noise but not bad. Easy on and off the freeway. New owners, friendly and very helpful. We were able to get our propane filled there. They picked the tank up and returned it. Good discount with Passport or Escapees. They also take Good Sam.
We very much enjoyed our month long stay at Southern Gates RV Park. The owner escorted us to our site and made sure we were happy. We really couldn't have asked for more. The price was fantastic! There was a nice pool and playground on site, but the ponds and the pair of ducks were a bonus.
New owners, making improvement daily. Really quiet to be so close to the interstate. (these are old pictures) the place has changed drastically. There is no cable, and the wifi is weak so may as well say no wifi. That's the only downfalls. Cheap monthly rates

This is our second stay here and it was great. It is just off the Interstate and tucked back in the woods. Great place to Winterize the RV for the cold trip back north. We will make this our annual stop for our Winter trips to Florida. Level lots.
Stopped at this campground just to take a couple days to chill. New owner, Karlis is working very hard to try and get this lace into shape. So far things are starting to look good, but a new campground that someone else was tired of is definitely a work in progress. He is a very nice young man with a ton of energy. There are a couple permanents, and a couple tents, but everyone was very nice and you hardly saw them. Mostly just saw him and his work crews hitting it hard to get things looking and staying good. Not large campground, but clean, site was good, shaded a bit, hookups very convienent for all, had a decent pool which is where we spent most of our time. Of course like anywhere, there are bugs indigenous to the area, but you have them everywhere, it's camping. He is trying to keep control of that as well. Pet friendly, bath house, propane, stores one exit either way, as well as a convienence store and gas just out the end of the road and down a block. New pavilion he just got put it, so great for small camping groups, family reunions, etc. Camp Club Discount Friendly! This young man is gonna make this a great campground when he gets done putting in the continued Blood, Sweat & Tears! Keep working hard like you have been Karlis, and you will reap what you sow! This was a quaint, lucky find as we traveled north as snowbirds. It is a small no-frills park but the price, ease of entry/exit and especially the hospitality of the new, young owners make it a great stop. I was escorted in, offered help to set up and given the owner's personal phone number in case we needed him. After Karlis observed a small set-up problem I had he called later in the evening to make sure all was well. We camped there in a 40ft 5th wheel and we will be back again if in the area. Recommeded.
Don't believe their website, no cable , wifi so weak could not even check email, electric kept tripping, owner says "running too much" Passport America should be ashamed to have their name associated with them. Paid $22.00 for PA price.

Stayed for a month while working in the area. Another new owner taking control of the property. Things are still changing. Some full timers? Yes! So what. No issues. Will stay again while in the area.
$34 for 50 amp hookup. Let me start by saying the lady who checked us in was very nice and led us to our spot at close to 9 pm. However, she informed me that we have a lot of ants. We are in the woods and I apologize for that. So don t leave any scraps outsIde or In your trailer. She could offer us ant spray on the way out. I wanted to just leave and go to a Walmart or something but husband was tired and said it woild be alright. Not alright and tons of ants Yes everywhere! I understand you are in nature but this is extensive. They need to spray or something. Also office smelled like smoke and whole place was pretty run down. Pretty expensive for what you get. Would NOT recommend at all.
This campground is a work in progress. The new owners are working very hard to make improvements. Unfortunately they were hit by Hurricane Michael and had to clean up from that. We would stay here again.
We went to this park because of the ratings we saw which were higher then the local KOA. Well... come to find out that the place has been purchased and it's a full blown MESS!! When we got there, there wasn't even a light on in the DARK office and when you enter they don't bother to turn them on! Electrical wires running along the gate side of the (VERY green water) pools fence. Nothing mowed, or maintained. Even the entrance sign was laying down below where it should have been hanging in over grown grass (that should have been our first clue!). Holes and dug up ground everywhere with yellow warning Tape laying on the ground. Trash and run down trailers. Oh and you're right next to a major highway, so enjoy the sound... I could go on for hours!
