When in the Chapel Hill or RDU area opt to stay here ... period. The owner, staff and facilities are great. Check out the website and call well ahead as its in demand for good reasons. Hope to see y'all there! K&D.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff greeted us and they were very helpful. The TV connection in our camper had a problem and one of the staff members helped my husband make a make shift antenna. To quote my husband "you saved my marriage". The park is very quiet and secluded. We will stay again.
The sites are HUGE ! Verrry quiet and woodsy . The hosts, he is a retired navy veteran, are awesome LP is available . Wifi is really high speed and accessible from every site. Easy to miss the drive in. There is just a sign on the corner that says Spring Hill. The gravel road by the church is the one.
Been here many times, the owners & staff are great. Sites are nice, level & large. WiFi Signal is GREAT but it seems to go down periodically. Hope to stay again in Oct.
If you enjoy the out doors, this RV park is for you. There is no cable TV, but if you have an antenna there are many ( 30?) channels. Free. Sites are spaced as far apart as I have ever seen with lots of wooded area. This is NOT a KOA and it's about half the price. If you want your own, private, camp site, this is for you. If you need others to do for you, this is not for you. We loved it. Convenient to Chapel Hill and Durham, but Not real close. Electric, water, and sewer , that's all we needed. Gravel site with an old concrete pad. Bring your own tables and chairs! Reserve your spot because they are full most of the time. Lots of repeat customers.
Sites are huge, cable is fantastic, wifi is smokin', staff is exceptional. Two issues for us were 1.) the drive into the park and to the site is on a gravel, dusty road ... our Wrangler and Rig was covered with fine white dust and no washing allowed. 2.) There is a spring close by as well as spots of standing water so the bugs and mosquitos will eat you alive! It is a beautiful area though...we saw many dear and other wild life. A lot of cool dining spots down around campus as well as eclectic shops.
