Decided too late to book online & when I called was told no reservations by phone. Our travel plans had us arrive on Wednesday morning & check out Saturday. According to my requirements, 50 amp RV site, online showed only 2 sites available. Was very happy to get the larger site. Asphalt & level. Lots of grass, trees & shade. Lots of space between sites. Very beautiful & peaceful. The park is almost empty. Maybe everyone is coming in tomorrow. Great bike & walking trails. Don't mind not having sewer at site. Only here 3 nights. Will use dump station on our way out. Will definitely stay here again. Like the $10 per night with our Golden Age Pass.

Well kept park. Was here for 20 days in A4, had some great neighbors who I hope to run into again. Park was quite, restrooms are very clean and showers are clean and private. Will be back to this park.
Thanks to the Pooles for running a great park. Thank you

There are two loops, A and B. In A loop, the spaces are much closer together, albeit close to the river. B loop provides a lot more space between each site. Most sites are a bit sloped but not more than most leveling systems can handle.
There is a concrete picnic table and fire ring at each site. The 50/30/20 electric seems steady and the water is housed in a frost proof container. The site strips themselves are asphalt but not the area out the door.
The canopy adds a lot of shade and the ground is carpeted with leaves. Loop B had little to no light filtration and lots of privacy. Cell service and OTA was excellent.
There are indiscernible loudspeaker announcements in the near distance from the bridge or some factory. Between that and the low flying planes it can sound like a blackout warning!
There is a good trail down at the marina to take the dogs on, but be warned, the trails are not well marked for visitors and you may end up at the wrong parking area. Bring bread crumbs.

Very nice campground. Sites very spaced pretty well apart. Clean bathrooms & shower house. Sites had nice size fire pits and picnic tables. Most were right by the river. Camp hosts were so sweet and helpful.

Nice campsite with well kept clean facilities. We were on site 9 which backed up to the Arkansas River, saw several barge tugs going up the river. The campground was full on the weekend with lots of locals, however it was quiet at night. On Sunday night there was only us and one other in the whole park. It was about 50 yards from out site to the next.

Good luck enjoy the outside. When I tried to visit there. I got the cops called on me. I was sitting at a pinic table when the owners pulled up and dominated 10 dollars for sitting at there fishing pond. When I question why I need to pay to soak up the sun. I was yelled from the owners which never step out of there car. Saying "The cops have been called."

When to there site without a reservation. Paid fee went to site. Tried to hookup but the plugs had been cut. When management was informed. They accused me of cutting them. I ask for a refund and told them I was leaving. They yelled at me all the way back to my camper were I hook up and left. But not before I owners yelled and then called the cops on me. The cop looked at the wires and the rust on them. He let me go seeing that I could not have freshly cut the wires. I will never return to this little run down rv park.
