I gave three stars due to beautiful beaches. Campground was crowded and loud. No privacy. Golf carts everywhere. We camped in the spring. Probably will find another park in the future.
We love this park. My wife and I bring our kayaks and kayak with the dolphins. Usually our in-laws go with us and the lagoon there is kind on the elderly because the waves aren't too ruff and they can walk out about 50 yards.
This campground is amazing. It's close to town, has amazing beaches, air-conditioned bathrooms, and large campsites. We spent 3 days here and wished we had stayed longer. There are open beaches with waves, or sheltered beaches that are perfect for snorkeling. You get all of the benefits of camping in a natural setting, yet you are only 2 miles from the docks and 15 minutes from pier-park. This was not a loud campground when we were there. Also, be sure to call the campground a week before you arrive and get the gate code. Late arrivals will be challenged getting past the locked gate.
