A no BS excellent park! Unfortunately, it may be the last year it will be open. They have their rules that are easy to abide by. I will miss their parks excellent location. Good Luck with their future endeavors.
Well we were going to stay at St Paul East RV Park where we made reservations weeks ago for 3 nights, but after checking in, the owner was so ignorant that I told him he didn't have to act like an A-hole, also not knowing yet that he had been barking orders at my husband while I was inside checking in, so he said if I didn't like how he acted go get my money back and leave. I said no problem, and he said go ahead, get stuck in the tornado coming through. The sad part was his wife and daughter were the other two owners and were very sweet and welcoming when I checked in. The wife did say that no wonder he asked us to leave when I said what I said, but sorry, I was not raised in a family where a man hollers orders at me. What a nice guy. Terrible experience to have on your Birthday! I have never been spoke to by anyone like he spoke to us at a campground, especially not an owner! Sad way to do business, maybe he should consider retiring if he is that miserable to treat his guests like that. Didn't take us but about 10 minutes to locate another park, Dakotah Meadows, which ended up being a much nicer park, no reservations required and cheaper!
Owners treat RVer's like we are dirt. Mr. Owner needs to learn some of the basics of customer service. There is a gate thst is very close to the street, and it is closed at 6:00 p.m. and it is opened at 8:00 a.m. The gate is not locked, and must be unlatched and opened if you leave or return to the park after hours. In rain storms this particularly unpleasant. The park also has a visitor fee of $4.00 per person per visit. This includes simply driving in to pick us up, they didn't even get out of the car. So on our last day we said our goodbyes at the entrance. In the less than the two minutes we we there a staffer came running out of the office screaming "Are you going to be here long?" We all just shook our heads and laughed it off. We left the next morning. We will NOT return to this park. Water pressure was a very low 28 - 32 psi. 50 amp was 117 &119 volts. And the park was a mud bowl.
I've never had a worse experience in an RV park. The male owner (well his lovely wife and step daughter are actually the owners) yet he tries to run the show. He was nasty to my entire family, including my children. I highly recommend nobody ever staring here. He treated us like peasants. Very sad considering it's a decent park and his wife is sweet as she can be. I'd for sure stay somewhere else. His attitude and behavior is not worth it.
We stayed there in May of 2016. We had to extend our stay and the owners made room for us by juggling around some reservations. Pretty, quiet, and close to the cities!
