This is a good campground for an overnight stay. Had what we needed - FHUs with both 40 & 50 Amp service for $22/night. While there is no WiFi or cable, the campground is satellite friendly. Gravel sites fairly level. Campground was quiet. It is a no frills campground and as such there is no office. But all you really need to do is call the campground and Mike will meet you in town, show you to a site and help to get you settled in. Mike is very friendly & we enjoyed chatting with him. Thanks Mike! We would definitely stay here again if passing this way.

Ditto what everyone else commented. Will definitely stop here again!

Mike met my husband and I on Martin Street and drove us into our site. He was one of them more hospitable camp host that we have ever had. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it for an overnight stop.
By user-5822485... on 2017-10-23.
This is a no frills park that is perfect for an overnight stop in Sonora. It is directly behind the high school if you should need to ask. The sites are level, clean, and well maintained. Nicely spaced for ease of set up and exit. I had no fear of safety either in the park or surrounding area. Sonora is one of our regular overnight stops and this will be our destination next trip.
By user-5801748... on 2017-10-23.
Called this place after reading reviews & it is the best out there. Wonderful peace after a rough windy drive. Owner Mike was super helpful on directing us & met us on the street to show us to our spot. Full hookups and calm is just what we needed. And mike was awesome!
By user-5236202... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed there in April, 2017. The location is a little hard to find with a GPS but Mike made it easy by guiding us in. We found him to be a gracias, helpful and friendly host. There were no covered spaces available but the spot he put us in was open and spacious. I would go there again. Thanks Mike.
By user-5464629... on 2017-10-23.
Owner is a really nice guy. He has great plans for this park which used to be a mobile home park. Good level ground. 30 and 50 electric, water and sewer. No cable tv or wifi. Reasonable rates. Next to the High School stadium. We would stay there again.
By user-6244752... on 2017-10-23.
After a long day, we needed a place to pull in in the place west of here was terrible. I was getting fuel in Sonora, and called this CG. The manager actually came to the gas station and escorted to his mobile home/ RV park. What a nice guy. When I told him my 5er was 43 ft he said he new an easy way to get to his park. This was very much appreciated. It's nothing fancy, no pool,or shower,or laundry, just a gravel and grass lot with full hookups, but I didn't expect it to be. It's a quite place to get some rest. And the management is wonderful. I would stay here again.
By user-5907551... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed 6 nights! Didn't intend to but we were having a good time. Country location, we enjoyed the birds, deer, open space, & small town charm. Mike, owner, went above & beyond helping with just about everything. Would give 5 stars but, it's Texas, hot in July & always some type of flying insects. Great spot for a restful get away in Spring, Fall, maybe Winter. Be sure to take in the local sights & restaurants.
By user-5838250... on 2017-10-23.
Mike met us at our spot, helped set up and we are set for the night. Utilities are easy to reach and already had a sewer hose ready for us to use. The neighborhood isn't scary... just old homes... perfect for a quick trip off the highway! Haven't stayed this far off the freeway in days... a nice change!
By user-5879671... on 2017-10-23.
Read reviews of this place your site and decided to give it a try. Easy to find using our GPS and Mike suggested a suitable spot. Good utilities and quiet neighborhood, felt safe. $22 cash or check, very reasonable, will stop here again.
By user-5239619... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed only 1 night but it was a perfect no frills set up. Mike is very helpful with everything. The sites are level and had FHU. We asked for a fire ring and 10 minutes later he he came with a ring and two buckets of wood. That doesn't happen everywhere. We will definitely be back.
By user-4519230... on 2017-10-23.
First off, kudos to Mike. He goes the extra mile for you. The sites are level with FHU in a quiet part of town. We won't hesitate to stay here again next time we pass through.
By user-5889516... on 2017-10-23.
This may have been nice at some time, but I can't imagine how. There is a very rough looking mobile home park and some shelters with permanent travel trailers. No office. This is not an RV park and if it were, I wouldn't stay in the neighborhood.
By user-6035156... on 2017-10-23.
Mike met us on the Main Street to guide us in to the overnight area with full hookups. Older mobile home park with super large lots. Very quiet, safe neighborhood off the beaten path. Mike met us on our way out and was a get host. A pleasant overnight stop and would definitely recommend.
By user-6169017... on 2017-10-23.
Quick stop off. Full hookup (Mike led us into park and even hooked us up himself). No trains, very quiet. No amenities. NO TV channels with antenna because so far away from any major cities. It's all we needed and $22 was a fair price. This is an area with mobile homes and there are 5 spots available for people stopping off for the night. We were the only ones there.
By user-5808547... on 2017-10-23.
We came into town late and owner didn't mind meeting us. Even offered to help set up! Was a very quiet location. A bit off the grid, but GPS took us there easy. Would come back for sure and will recommend.

stayed 4 nights .Mike is "ALL THAT" Quiet restful just what the doctor ordered after two tough days on the road. Will be back.
By user-6120387... on 2017-10-23.
this RV park is definitely not for those seeking luxury. Just 30/50 electric, water and a gravel level lot with several hookups in a residetial mobile home community. Mike, the owner met us a few blocks away as road construction just started on the GPS route. He guided my. MH pulling a car and helped us park. No office no shower, no toilets. $21 for 3 adults. Clean and quiet Mike sent us off in the morning. We will stay with him again if we pass through here again.
By user-5846017... on 2017-10-23.
Owner Mike met us in town and lead us to the site. Great nice guy who will offer help in setup or anything you need. If you are in the area and need to stop this is the place. We have 42 ft tag axle and had plenty of space.
By user-6659863... on 2017-10-23.
A little difficult to find as there is no signage but not to worry. Mike the owner, a very nice guy, will come to meet you if you give him a call. Park is clean and very quiet. The park even offers a pull thru shade structure for smaller rigs. Before going to sleep, Mike stopped by to make sure we were secure and didn't have any problems. Recommend for an overnight.
By user-5838250... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here 2 months ago and made sure to come back on our way back west. As usual, Mike met us at the entrance and guided us to our spot. $20 bucks for full hook ups and this site had cable TV, rv cover, car cover and the always ready sewer hose! The site was level. The neighbor is old, but no problems.

No frills, no facilities, but FHU, including 50amp. Easy access from IH-10; just call Mike and he'll lead you in and help setup. Great for one nite, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Cash only $22.
By user-5823776... on 2017-10-23.
I have to agree with previous reviewers (and thank you!!) Perfect to rest overnite after a long drive. Call him and Mike will set you up fast. $22.
By user-5805725... on 2017-10-23.
Because all the reviews talked about Mike, I had to stop here overnight and see what Mike was all about. All the other reviews about Mike were absolutely correct! You cannot have a better host and gentlemen to help you! He took a care of us and even hooked up our septic hose! How many RV parks would do that for you? That moron that gave this park a one star, must not have stayed here.
By user-5279571... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for one night. Saw the reviews for this Campground that it was a good place if you're looking for a place to park your RV for the night. No bells or whistles but full hookups available. The park is nestled in a neighborhood of homes and mobile homes. Mike gave us great information on what exit to get off of Interstate 10. He met us at the campground and had us follow him in his truck to our campsite. Mike even offered to help us hook up. He accepts cash or a check. Very quiet neighborhood and far enough away from the highway noise. Would definitely stay here again.
By user-5793565... on 2017-10-23.
This is a great spot to have a peaceful nights sleep and relax. We spent two nights and felt as if we were visiting with family because Mike is such a fantastic person. Told us were he would meet us and brought us right to our campsite. Even stayed with us until we were hooked up and settled in. We will stop here every time we are in this area. Mike is just a wonderful person. Stayed with a 40' Holiday Rambled Imperial towing a pickup truck. Plenty of space.
By user-5327524... on 2017-10-23.
We were happy to meet Mike. Nice guy and very helpful. Safe and quiet site. Level cement and gravel. Good wifi. Recommend for an overnight stay.

Hard to find, but after calling owner Mike, he directed me in, even tho he was out of town. Nice and quiet, next to a bus barn.$22 a nite. He came by next morning, quite the guy, friendly and has big ideas, even gave me directions out.
By user-5975768... on 2017-10-23.
Mike will come meet you and guide you to the "park". Full hookups, quiet, no TV or internet but cheap for an overnight stay.
By user-5822579... on 2017-10-23.
The owner, Mike, met me late and set me up at a nice spot with a covering and cable TV. Great neighborhood to walk my dogs after a long drive. Exceptional service and would return. Only thing is that it's a mobile home and RV village together. GPS would not have found it and the owner was kind to meet me and lead me to my spot. Takes checks or cash only so be prepared.
By user-5897660... on 2017-10-23.
Agree with 3/25 entry, except we didn't have a cover or cable. On a gravel lot with 50 amp, water and sewer for $22. The spot was slightly unlevel, but Mike had leveling boards there. Felt very safe, very quiet, a couple of miles from I-10 but ez to get to with Mike's directions!
By user-5313716... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-07-19 to 2015-07-20
Mike, the owner, is the nicest guy you will ever meet. This park is small - five spaces - but it's super quiet and has such clean air. Plus, my daughter and I saw a deer right in the park after sundown. At $22 for full hookups, this is probably the best park value in America. Two thumbs up!
By user-5881132... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-02-17 to 2017-02-18
Full hook up, level, spacious site. No amenities like pool, showers, laundry, cable or wifi. Safe, clean place to rest en route. Previous reviewer was correct, there is no office, but Mike (the owner) is only a phone call away as he lives in the neighborhood and answers his phone ( which some "offices" don't). He could not have been more hospitable. Extremely reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.
By user-4861177... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-12-15 to 2016-12-16
Sometimes the hospitality and kindness of the owner count for much more than the amenities or conveniences at an RV park. This is absolutely the case with Mike at Sonora RV Park. We pulled into Sonora at about 9pm on a Thursday with a shredded tire on our travel trailer. We had hit something on I-10 while driving through a misty evening, and it had immediately dented the wheel and deflated the tire. We were still mobile, and Mike met us at an intersection in town to lead us to the RV park. It wasn't fancy, but it had full hookups, and Mike directed us to a site and helped us get situated. The next morning he was gracious enough to loan me a floor jack and take some time to help me change the tire on the trailer. He then took me down the road to a tire shop, where they were able to repair the wheel and mount a new tire. Mike made sure we were totally squared away before he went on with his morning, for which we were extremely grateful. He is a wonderful host, and we couldn't have had an unfortunate tire incident in a better place. I highly recommend staying at Sonora RV Park if you are passing through the area. The only note I would add is that internet and cable TV are only available in his longer-term covered spots. Regardless, we will absolutely return when we are in the area again. Thanks, Mike!

Quiet and accommodating. Level gravel lot with full hookups (FHU). Close to the Sonora Caverns. Mike is awesome and even brought us fire wood. Perfect place to get some road rest.

I give this place 5 stars just because of Mike. Best guy you will ever meet. Camp ground is pretty basic but fine for an over nite stay. Would stay here again just to visit Mike. $22.
By user-6359659... on 2017-10-23.
The owner, Mike, is super nice and helpful! Full hookups and level ground too.
By user-6059173... on 2018-03-14.
Very similar experience to the other good reviews. Mike met us about 6 blocks away and led us in. Only a few RV sites bunched in a neighborhood of Mobil homes. Very quiet! Our “big rig” had no problems fitting. This was perfect for our quick stop overnight needs rather than stay in a noisy Wallys parking lot. We were so comfortable with the place and the host that we did a short travel day on the return trip to stay there again. Heartily recommended. The only reason for four stars is you won’t get any frills. Just a basic quiet comfortable place with 50 amp full hookups.
By user-5771573... on 2018-03-14.
What a wonderful overnight stay. Reasonable price, full hookups, flat, level spot. Electricity was strong, water was clean with good pressure, sewer was conveniently located. No useless amenities for which one pays but doesn’t use. Quiet location, no road noise, no train, no airport nearby. But the best part of this stay was Mike, the owner. In thirteen years of RVing we have never met a more helpful, friendly, amendable host. I gave this spot five stars for the above reasons. Those who follow our travel adventures know is only the third time I have given five stars. For a quiet, convenient overnight stay, this is the spot.
By user-5894182... on 2018-03-14.
Just what we like, not a lot of amenities we don't use, but a great owner who obviously cared about his guests, flat site, easy..and a very good price. A fenced area for dogs would have made it 5 star!
By user-6117729... on 2018-03-14. Stayed 2017-12-31 to 2018-01-04
We stayed 4 nights, including NEW YEARS EVE, it is NOT a CAMPGROUND. It IS owned by a 5 star host, It has level, gravel sites with FULL 50 AMP ELECTRIC, WATER & SEWER HOOKUPS. NO frills like Tv, WIFI, POOL, SHOWERS, RESTROOMS you need to be self contained. 4 bar Verizon cell service If you LIKE to hear sirens, traffic, trucks, trains, airplanes, and loud music and partying, then this not for you. I give Stadium Park 5 stars for the owner/host (he cares) and for the fact that all of the reviews (except one) describe it perfectly, it is what it is, a safe, quiet, place to stay if you stop in Sonora. We will include this stopover any time we are traveling on I-10. Also a great price just have cash or check.
By user-5821405... on 2018-03-14.
Stayed one night and will definitely use again if in the area!! Mike was all the reviews had stated! Met us a few blocks away to guide us in. Rate was reasonable and hookups good!
By user-5098998... on 2018-03-14.
Cannot do more than agree with all the positive ratings. Very bare minimum when it comes to beauty and extras...top notch when you factor in Mike, the owner.
By user-4916179... on 2018-03-14.
The true charm of this RV park was the owner, Mike. He makes a point to meet you off location and guide you to you to your site. Then, he makes sure your connections are set before leaving you. There was a true feeling of safety and honesty. Appreciated Mike's work ethic. For some, a negative might be, there are no bathrooms/showers. It is not resort, but it is safe and perfect at $22 for a stop along the way.
By user-6172123... on 2018-03-14.
Mike was awesomely accommodating. Over and above. We followed him in and he set us up and didn't leave until we were ready to go. Courtesy sewer hose and water hose for us when we arrive. Helped us find a awesome LP station on the way out of town. Stop by and visit Cooper if you do need some LP on your way out. Would stay again if ever in Sonora. Thanks Mike!!

We chose this RV Park for our first stop on our maiden voyage in our new Motorhome. We are newbies and Mike , the owner, was just fantastic! He led us in and volunteered to help with hook ups and answered many questions. Is a very nice comfortable place with basic hookups. We had trouble getting our main slide out to come in when we were trying to leave early the next morning. Well I called MIke and he got out of bed early and rushed over to help me pull it in. He is a wonderful person and sooooo helpful! Yes Mike is the Man! For sure will stay with him here again!

AKA Sonora RV Park. The park is very clean and has full hookups...although it is generic, in the words of Mike the owner. There are only a few sites. Perfect for a night or two. The main attraction is the owner Mike, a great human being. He is by far the nicest and most attentive RV park owner/manager we have ever come across during our travels. He met us up the street from the park to make sure we didn't get lost and even helped us set up the utilities. In the future, if we are in the area this will be our stop.
