Excellent location for a Steens Mountain experience. Yes, a gravel road, but easily traversable (graded twice per year). Amenities are adequate and clean. Plenty of sites, while not all perfectly level, all are easily resolved. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
First the gravel road to this place is wash board 10mph at best. Second you have call to get someone to check you in. Third the sites are not even close to being level to get a spot close your sewer needs to be 30ft long. Al this being said DON'T even think about stopping here.
Nice people, clean restrooms and showers. Nice long spaces, sewer hook up was a a stretch so we opted to just use the RV dump when we left. The park is on a hill so it is down to the table and fire ring not just a pop in and out of the camper. Fairly new owners so improvments are being made all the time. It is the desert so dust is involved but most of the scenic drives you can take are gravel so it all just part of the experience.
