This is a big family friendly state park, with both partial and FHU sites. Sites are large and well spaced. Lots of beach access and playgrounds for the kids. Good satellite and over the air reception. No wifi or cable. Didn't use the showers. Have to say for the amount of people in the park it was surprisingly quite. We stayed in a a 34' motorhome.

Very nice state park but pricey. For non-Michigan residents $24/night +$8/ night park fee for 30 amp only. $33/night full hookups. About 35 miles from Detroit. Nice bike/walking paths, Lake Erie beach for swimming, fishing.

We ended up staying here 3 nights on our trip around Michigan. I chose this park because of the reviews & that it was close to the Henry Ford Museum complex. We were not disappointed! Large, clean campground with paved spaces, although some sites might need leveling, but nothing extreme. Very helpful staff too who were more than eager to give advice on sites to see in the state & local eateries. Paved walking/biking paths galore, although tree roots have really broken them up in places. FYI, Dogs are NOT allowed on the beaches. This is a popular park so if you're stopping here during prime time you're most likely going to need reservations. We were here right after Labor Day & despite cool WINDY weather it was more crowded than we thought it would be. Bath & shower houses were very nice & clean. Would stay here again for sure if in the area. Only 1 caveat...there are 2 BIG smoke stacks from a power generating plant very near by & 2 cooling towers for a nuclear power plant visible in the distance. If out of state you'll need a state park permit. We opted for the $32/year rather than $9/day since we would be staying in several parks throughout our trip of 2 weeks.

Stayed one night with our kids on July 8th. We loved the beach and the bike trails. Clean, safe, beautiful! The office staff was very friendly.

Great park on Lake Eerie. Lots of trails, beach, playground, fishing, boating. Lots and lots of mayflies. We will return.
