Nothing to do with the Elks club but named after the Elks that graze on the grounds. Good Wi-Fi.restrooms good. Showers so so. Prices $36-$42 per night. Large number of sites, half are in woods.

We really liked this park. It's not fancy - just a large open field with RV sites. But, the sites are spaced far apart, utilities are placed well, the place is clean (more on that later), quiet, and in the middle of nowhere. (Little to no cell service) The roads are gravel as well as the sites with grass. It's all on a large scale so everything is easy to negotiate. We would stay here again and again. Our first night a herd of 35 to 50 elk came on to the property and it was amazing! They rule and are not afraid of you....in fact you have to get out of their way. We SO enjoyed that experience. Now....about the 'clean'. Elk poop. 35 to 50 elk poop a lot. Just know it's there and it's no big deal. The staff were very helpful and sent us to the best places to see the sites. Prairie Creek State Park for the giant Redwoods and Lady Bird Johnson Park also for Redwoods. High Bluff Picnic area is great for viewing the ocean. We absolutely loved this area!

| We love it!!!

We found easy entry and backup into long narrow mostly level site (#523). 30 amp hookup and good water. Reasonable space between sites. ATT cell service was intermittent while Sprint was much better. Both are good enough to access internet and there is limited access provided at checkin. DirecTv worked great. There is some background noise from the highway that is not bothersome and seems to go away by about 9:00PM. The bathrooms and laundry are neat and clean. Really doesn t take a rocket scientist to figure out why there is much elk manure in this very relaxing and enjoyable RV park. They have sites in the forest or in the meadows with the elk. After all the over priced non refund crappy Parks along the coast this is a gem. Trinidad has plenty to do and explore. Definitely will revisit. Nice folks in front office.
