Reviews for Stoney Creek Resort

| Decent place

The place is designed to be a resort with locals coming to the lake for recreation. Much of it appears to have been added on at different times and explains why some sites have sewer or Internet or cable and some don't. We didn't have internet or cable, but got enough channels with the antenna. The little creek behind our MH left a little more separation to the next row of campers. It was nice to be at a campground that has facilities for children to have fun. They have a pretty good store. Most spots seem level. We will go back when we travel through the area.

I drove through here on March 25, 2017 to check it out. There were several loud motorcycles and what appeared to be permanent travel trailers in disrepair. Grounds were not attractive. I will stick with the KOA/Walnut Hills when staying in Staunton, VA.

Stayed here for one night and won’t ever again! Too many hillbilly rednecks riding the circuit in their beat up pickup trucks and golf carts! The majority of the “resort” are permanent residents. Our neighbor had ducks in a permanent wire fenced area. Just dirty looking all around.

This was a very nice campground. Our site was extremely large and easy to get into. The people that worked there were very friendly. We stayed in a 31 Ft travel trailer. They had a nice little lake with a swim beach. The swim beach even had lounge chairs on it. We would definitely stay there again.

Campground had lots of trees close to the road making it very tight for 40 ft motor home. Stayed mid week in early September when campground was very quiet except for neighbors penned up goose. Lol.
