Reviews for Stovepipe Wells Campground

| Darkest place on earth

Nice park full hookup, no cell service no wifi, no tv. Paradise in the spring and fall. 10 pull thru spots, not much elbow room when full. There is a large dry camping area right next door. Bar , restourant and convenience store right next door.

There are two adjacent campgrounds at Stovepipe Wells. For the privately run sites you go across street to hotel. There are only about 15 sites with hookups. It was booked so we did not stay there. It is basically a parking lot. The government campground is hideous parking lot. The tent only sites had tables and fire rings. There are about 20 tent sites at the back. Maybe 10 at the front. The rest are parking lot rows. IFK.

Let's not act like this place is fancy. It's a dirt lot. It was dirt cheap though and is right next to the dunes and mosaic Canyon which I loved. I would stay here again for the price and location in the park.

Like the other reviews just a big parking lot but for the price I will not complain just wish we could have a fire ring. They do have a group fire ring though. The General Store has decent prices on there souveniers. If you need gas buy it there its alot cheaper than Furnace Creek. Good spot to put your trailer then explore Death Valley

| Decent place for boondocking for $14.

We stayed here one night in our motorhome with the family and thought it was a great price and location. It is just a gravel parking lot with only 14 full hook up's , bathrooms and a little general store . So dark!!! Love looking at all the stars. The kids loved playing at the sand dunes that were only 3 or 4 miles away. We would stay here again.

Spent 2 nights here in February. Nothing fancy (basically a parking lot), but cheap in comparison to other RV parks. It has toilets and an area to do dishes, there is water fill-up and a sanitary dump on the way out. There is a minimarket and a gas station at the road and the ranger told me you can arrange shower access for a fee at the opposite lodge. No generators after 7pm, so very quiet at night and romantic candle light evenings. I would go again if in Death Valley.

Stayed there 3 nights. Staff is very friendly. Family loved the pool in the afternoon after great hiking all day. Definitely have to go again
