A full hookup campground with great views of the highest mountain in Colorado. Those are the great things about this RV campground. Everything else was average at best. The sites were dirt, we needed to use blocks for additional leveling, and the roads were fairly tight. But, if you want to stay in the Leadville in an RV, it is one of two choices and certainly doable. I must say there were two problems during our three night stay. The first was the mix up in site reservations by the campground. We had two 50 amp sites reserved and one of them was double booked for one night. The second program was our section of the county lost power for about an hour one evening.

Convenient to Leadville but that's the only plus. Very unkept grounds. Made reservation for a 42' w 3 slideouts and was put in a site so tight we could barely get out of our door on one side because of pine trees and on the other our slide out was literally 12 inches from our neighbors slideout. Could not get around the RV unless we scrunched down and practically crawled. There was plenty of other sites but they didn't care. Seemed like the entire staff we talked to were teenagers. Could only see any scenery once we got towards the front of the camp on our way out. Have been traveling Colorado a lot and have stayed in much nicer grounds for half the price.

The staff was nice and the bathrooms were ok, but the sites were very close together. The mosquitos during the day would literally carry you off. I don't think I've ever seen mosquitos so bad. The trash at the dumpsters was overflowing and I felt like could cause a risk of bears coming into the camps. It also was in need of gravel added to the sites. Everything would get dirty because it was only mud and dirt around the campsites causing you to track it in the camper. It was nice and close to Turquoise Lake and the views were beautiful but I don't think we would be back mainly because of the close sites and mosquitos.
