Reviews for Sun Roamers RV Resort

| Better then it used to be

Stayed here years ago after Katrina hit (5yrs after) they had lots of fema tralier & the place looked worn out . Decided to try it again after the reviews on another site . We were pleased to see the park had cleaned up & the fema tralier were gone . We stayed in a pull through along the road . No problems except we could not get direct TV reception ......to many pine trees . No noise to speak of & plenty of room to run the dogs ! Stayed in a 36 ft MH towing. Did not use the bathrooms or Laundry this time ,but other time did & they were nice back then .

| $25.00 just to dump

By user-5770986... on 2017-10-23.

Stopped in to see if we could use the dump station. Obviously I knew there would be a charge since we weren't staying but I certainly didn't expect a $25.00 fee considering their most expensive site is $37.00. The man in the office was quite rude when I asked if he knew of any other place to dump our tanks. This location is quite close to family but after being treated so poorly I'd stay at the local Walmart before they get my money. Their website says paved roads....ummmmm no. Some paved sites & some paved road.

We had reservations for one night on our way to South Padre Texas. We ended up staying for 3 nights due to I-10 and I-12 being closed for a freak ice storm between Slidell, LA and Houston, TX. I talked with the new owner an he is working hard to bring everything up to first class standards. Even so, the facilities were clean and the clubhouse was always welcoming. There is a covered dish supper on Monday nights that is well attended. Owner worked with us and let us stay extra days an just pay daily as needed. We will be back, hopefully in better weather!

Stayed one night on our way home from south Texas. Office staff was great and had a very large pull thru site. Would love to spend some time there. Will definitely be back.

| Could be a nice park

They do a poor job maintaining this park. Sites are full of weeds and the roads are full of holes. If you stay here when it rains you WILL get flooded. They don’t clean or maintain the ditches. With just a little effort this could be a nice park. Don’t stay here

Very nice park the road going to pull thrus is narrow but other roads are fine . There are some full time campers there some need cleaning up but that is all that takes away from this park would go there again

Overnight sites are gravel and not level. Also not really a pull thru as the end of the site is an incline and you would scrape on the way out. Not that great for the money

We have stayed here many times over the last 4 years, and usually it's pretty good. Still is good as for clean restrooms and showers, available laundry, and several concrete parking slots that are level and have full hookups. But..., recently they have been renting out the large meeting facility that's located right across from the good camping slots. REALLY loud and lots of people who don't care at all that they are totally disrupting our peace and quiet. We have spent far more money here over the years than those one night stands. And we would continue except for the noise and management's total disregard for our rights. Very short sighted view for management. Noise started today (Sunday) about 4:00pm and is going strong at 8:00pm. Management lady says they have place rented until midnight. There goes sleep tonight.
