Reviews for Susanville RV Park

| Great RV Park

This is one of the nicest Parks in which we have had the pleasure to stay. Appealing to the eye. Well maintained with great infrastructure. Concrete pads with excellent site spacing between sites. Not all sites have 50 amps.

| CLEAN

When calling in for reservations the lady was rude on the phone, but when we got there she was polite ! I think she needs to take some customer service classes or she is going to lose a lot of business because we almost did not go there because of her attitude on the phone. But the grounds were kept up very clean, the only thing I noticed is the picnic benches were set up right next to your neighbors dump station, not very appetizing !

| Nice park...

We stayed here many times and it is a clean, well maintained park with good parking. FHU but very poor internet service. Managers can seem rude but are really just short with conversation and not so talkative. Nice bathrooms and good laundry.

| I've stayed here and loved it

Quiet, Quiet, Quiet is what this place is. If you like simple easy take out close by it has that too. Seriously, I stayed here and really loved it.

| Pretty spot

I d give more stars, but the noisy neighbors kept it up until 11:30! Also, the dog runs are more like pens with sharp thorns on the ground. Nice that the dogs are allowed on some of the grass. When you travel with dogs, as many do, you really appreciate parks that get it.

| 3 Issues

By user-4876202... on 2019-08-09.

Upon arriving I was informed that the laundry facility was closed due to a problem . I was also told the WiFi wasn t very good because you can t get much bandwidth in this area . Sounded like bunk to me. Here s my favorite. In addition to charging a fee for the space they also charge a $5/day electric surcharge . Oh dumb me, I thought that was part of the daily space fee. Overall, I just wasn t very impressed.

| Well-maintained basic park, expensive

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

This is a well-run park with all the basic amenities, but nothing fancy. It is surprisingly expensive for being a non-resort style park in a tiny town. I paid $45/night with a Good Sam discount. They were pretty busy, anyway. Sites are paved, reasonably level. Roads are well-maintained and most sites are pull-throughs, so it's an easy-in-easy-out experience. Sites are mostly large enough for big rigs, though you'll probably need to unhitch if you're towing (either a toad or a trailer/fifth wheel). I'm in a 37' motorhome with three slides and was able to put them all out and get comfortable, but I don't tow a car, so I didn't need to unhitch anything to fit. Park has a pretty nice coin laundry and clean restrooms, and power and water were reliable while I was there. No shade in most sites. Staff is friendly, and the park is reasonably dog-friendly with small fenced dog play areas. Location is good, within walking distance of a Safeway and a Walmart, and some fast food and pizza (that delivers). A short drive or bike ride to better food and more shopping. It's a relatively small town, but has most of the necessities. WiFi didn't work at all for me, which is kinda the norm for RV parks. I was able to use my Verizon phone as a hot spot for work, T-Mobile had strong signal but seemed congested as it was very slow and came and went. Sprint had 3G that came and went but internet didn't work. (I have all three services because I work from the RV and travel a lot). I probably wouldn't stay again just due to the high price for what and where it is, but it's competently run and there are no other parks nearby (Walmart and the casino in town allow overnights, though). Monthly rates are a little more attractive (though still high compared to surrounding cities, even bigger ones), so I guess if I needed to be in the area for a long time, I'd consider staying again.
