Swanzey Lake has lovely wooded campsites that are not on top of each other, several are pull-through, friendly staff, nice store/gift shop and they are dog friendly. The medium sized lake is beautiful, has docks and a beach. There is plenty to do in the area.
I got in a little after 5. The office was closed. There were some papers with my name tacked to the door with a map showing my site. I needed to dump first sovI went to the dumping station before going to my site. The roads are awful. Very bumpy. When I got to the dumping station, I found the lid over the hole to dump had a lock on it. I couldn't dump my holding tanks. Not a good sign. I left and went to Ashuelot. Much nicer.
