Great place. Caretaker wonderful. Our rig is 38 ' plus tow. Was told to go in sideways to fit & we did. Fee was OK. Will stop again if this way

We stayed one night here because no WIFI. The place was huge but each site was not long enough even our 30'.
We had to back in an angle to fit. They offer full hook up but there were waist high fence evey where. You have to hop the fence to get there and our sewer hose was not long enough....
If you go, make sure your RV is small enough and sewer hose is long enough to fit!

Fairgrounds that accept rvs

We love finding fairgrounds that are willing to accept rvs. It is a win for both the fairground to make extra $ and for rvs to find reasonable $ parking.
The other reviews are correct.lots of fences and sewer is challenge, so just allow a little extra time to find a spot that will work for you. The 50 amp power is great, plus friendly workers. Only issue was caretaker was not sure about the escapee club discount. We went to the office and received the 15% discount.

A good alternative for rock springs/green river area

Good alternative to KOA. For the price ($25) it's the obvious choice if you need something overnight or for a few days. Most RV parks in Wyoming are on gravel, not different here. 50 amp power was good. The way the sites are laid out you may need extensions to your connections. In my case, I used a sewer extension but power and water were connected with not extensions. The are great grass areas to walk you dogs. Overall, this place was very quite. The five days I was there no events wee scheduled. For you golfs, a very good public golf course is adjacent to RV park area.

We arrived here at dusk to find no signs, a closed office and of the 1200 sites few are open off season. Also please note there are no pull through big rig spots. We had to go to the KOA after an hour of trying unsuccessfully to figure things out.

Water was turned off for winter so they only charged $10 to dry camp. But that includes elec,sewer and a place to fill water tank.

Arrived around 4, took an hour to find out you pay at the big building. We thought we could dry camp for $10, and we were charged $30. We have 30 amp service and there is only 50 amp, bring an adapter . Turns out you have to be careful where you park, there was no water in our spot.

Nice fairground campgrounds.

We stayed 5 nights to explore the Rock Springs and the Flaming Gorge area. The fairgrounds were fairly empty. The bath house was excellent with individual shower rooms. Camp host was very friendly and helpful.
Enter at the Livestock Entrance not the Main Entrance and there is a little registration booth on the left with all needed information. Each fenced in site is meant for two RV's to be backed in, but since they were very few sites being occupied we used both sites. The water connections are double heads for two rigs to share.
