Very close to the interstate, you can hear the highway at times though way in the distance, a nice alternative to more private expensive campgrounds in the area. A standard Forest Service campground with paved roads and plumbed bathrooms with showers. Many shade trees so you can likely find one to keep the rig cooler. Some of the spaces have electricity and water hookup. Be sure to get the bathroom codes from the hosts as the facilities are locked. Located next to a now decommissioned fish ladder. Sadly no interpretive information that is relevant to the history of the ladder and why it was decommissioned is on site. The graphs that are present in the out of date display show the sad decline of the fish population in the Sacramento River. Gives you that feeling of the place just shut down and everyone left.
Here now for a week, site is level, shaded, 50 amp with water. Quiet. 2 miles from town, shopping, restaurants, library, laundramat, etc. location feels safe, no through traffic. Camp host is onsite and conscientious. Bathrooms are modern, flush, coin showers. We are very comfortable. Would have given it a 5 star if there was an RV dump site. Good Verizon cell coverage and multiple TV channels with simple antenna. Easy in and out. Bike trails and hiking trails well marked, maintained.
Tons of space. Very clean. Only minus is no dump station.
