Perfect view on the lake, very good wifi I will come again everytime!
We are very happy with this camp ground everything is clean and well kept. Sites are very tight so get to know your neighbor. We live in Woodstock so this is a very convenient great weekend getaway for us.
This park is no resort. Bad water, when it rains its one big mud hole, the owner has everyone crammed in like sardines. No tv reception. Then he nickel and dimes you to death. He has two ponds he calls lakes then if you bring a boat with you he will charge you money to put it on his pond. If you have guest over for dinner he will charge you per person even if they are in your unit. Oh and he will charge you for their car to park there. He says the rate covers two adults and two children. My son was with us and because he was over 18 he charged us a extra 150.00 a month. There was only three of us. A lot of people that I talked to said the owner has no personal skill. Aka he is a a$$. I am so glad we left! Wal mart parking lot is a better choice. Beware of this place he is not looking for return business and most of the people will not come back !
I must disagree with my fellow camper. My wife and checked in and was greeted by the owner and another young lady.Our check in was fasf and they gave us a great spot. Beautiful view if lake and i will be coming back again
It is clean and peaceful. Rules and charges are pretty straight forward.
Very clean! The two lakes are really nice. Catch and release fishing is allowed. The swim beach looks really nice (too cold to try it out right now!) would definitely stay here again!
From downtown Sycamore you drive through an industrial area, down a severely pot-holed, long road to this very plain campground with mostly back-in sites. There are many permanent residents with their own mailboxes inside the office. This place is no resort. Look at the enclosed photo of our site. I made a reservation months in advance, so this was not what they give last-minute reservations. This is one of their best.
No stars from me except for having to put 1 star to save my review. Run by Hitlr. This is no place to relax and have fun. Too many rules, too many upcharges, not even close to being a resort. Will never stay again.
This place is a joke! The owner is rude not a friendly person what so ever. This is not a resort. The 50 amp service is non existent the owner has an electrical problem and try s to blam it on your coach, we stayed a month we could of run our two ac units. Had to run inverter for microwave and refrigerator or the breaker would pop. After we arrived he told us it would cost extra for our car trailer but then again everything is extra here! We stayed 29 days our electric was $200 the trailer was $150 plus the monthly rate.. Add it up and I could have stayed at a REAL RESORT WERE I COULD RUN ALL MY ELECTRIC AND HAVE A POOL CONCRETE LEVEL PAD AND OTHER AMENITIES. NOT A RESORT ITS A CAMPGROUND THAT DOESNT ALLOW TENTS!
