Overpriced. No discounts unless law enforcement or military.

| Nice surrounding, shady sites

Nice surrounding, shady sites, frendly staff but not well maintained sanitary, after a full weekend the garbage boxes overflow, cobwebs everywhere in the sanitary spaces. Would come again!

| Pricey...$50.

This place is waaay over priced...! Our rig was filthy by the time we parked from all the dusty roads in the park. 30 amp for this price..? Sites are not level, dirt every thing... pine needles everywhere..what a dump...they were lucky I needed a place to park cause you can drive toward Nevada and get a park with a view of the lake at least...

| Mediocre

By user-5830075... on 2017-10-23.

We used passport America and stayed for $30. I can't imagine paying full price for this place as the sites were pretty wacky and tight and most of the facilities were closed including the pool. They put us next to an ugly fence next to a storage lot. Fence had a huge hole in it and our neighbors warned that a bear came through it last night. We alerted the office and they didn't seem to care much and pooh-poohed us and said they have bears all the time and they're nothing to worry about and maintenance would fix the fence. Hole is still there as we are leaving... This place could probably be great but it's just mediocre at best. Needs lots of TLC and upgrades. This place isn't very close to Lake Tahoe or anything if interest either. We won't be back.

| Restrooms need remodel

We have stayed at this park for years and generally like it for the beauty and accessibility to lake activities. However, for some unknown reason they decided to remove the partitions in the women's shower stalls. There are still curtains in the very small shower stall but no space to privately step out to dry off and get dressed. Another concern is there are no bear proof food lockers and the dumpsters do not lock. This is bear country folks!!!

| Expensive and cramped

Super close to your neighbors. Ours were up all night playing music and having a good time despite the quiet hours. But most parks in California seem to have this same problem, must be the people. Too far away from the lake if you want to go.

Pay for 50 and get 30. Unacceptable. Take heed. Also no fire . Ask for quiet place and placed next to family with 5pm oud children. Never stay here again.

| Cancellation

By user-5421033... on 2017-10-23.

I decided to cancel my reservation after 16 hours, for the reason that the location is far from the lake. The price for a site is $65 per night, with water and electric only. Be careful doing any reservation because they will charge $25 for cancellation. I will never ever recommend this place, plus I also read a lot of bad reviews.

| Over priced. Payed for 50 amp got 21 maybe 30 at most. No fire pit. Extra chargevof 4 dollars a day if you dont stay 30 days . No tv service no wifi . High price 122 for two nights. Live and learn. Will not stay here again.

| Lots of pines to maneuver!

By user-6020466... on 2017-10-23.

But what can we say...it's part of the beauty of the area. Large, dirt and pine needle site with FHU. Bathrooms are old, but functional. Close to restaurants and shopping.

| Good experience overall

My husband and I had a nice stay here. Great location, lots of activities for families and staff was great. Some of the sites are pretty challenging because of all the trees but aside from that we give it high marks.

| Very enjoyable stay

Tahoe Valley Campground is the largest campground we've stayed in. We had a premium site which was spacious, level, drive through, only partially shaded. If I stayed here again, I'd choose a site with more shade on the periphery. The park was clean, friendly staff, nice pool, large laundry area and dog park. The bathrooms were just ok. What I liked most about staying here was easy access to town and bike paths. Only negative is price and $25 cancellation fee.

If you can snag a premium outside spot, you have the pine forest as a back yard. Very woodsy and serene, even with the airport next door. Good kid entertainment. Tight negotiating between the trees, but worth it for the premium sites. Made for evening campfires.

| Tight but clean

We have a 43ft motor home so maneuvering around this park can be difficult due to the many trees. The plus side is the park is clean and there are many things for kids to do.

We were able to turn up without a booking coming into the fathers day weekend, and Jeanette was able to get us a spot for 4 nights. Camp ground is good, nice level spots. Pool area is a little dated, but perfect for a sunbake and cool down. My kids loves the Basketball court and other play activities. They haven't used there iPad once since being here. Also the camp list of activities have also been great, movie night, bear talks. Smores. I haven't used the amenitites, restroom or showers but I'm sure they are clean. We have a 29ft. are site can also fit our small suv... but from what I have seen pull in, they can accommodate big RV that are towing.

My rating for the campground stems from its set up. 1. There's simply too many sites packed in together. 2. We went to grab a basketball, 2 were there, both flat. 3. We found tennis racquets with no tennis balls. 4. We played both air hockey and billiards: the air hockey puck stopped in spots where the air no longer worked for $1.00 a game; the pool table was good, however at $1.25 a game there was one pool queue, no "granny stick," one chalk and no chalk for new players hands. Outside of these items,  the pool area was usable and maintained,  the staff was very helpful and nice.  The showers were a bit small, with a wait for them even "off peak," times: (they also did not drain properly) but did have enough hot water, kudos. It is costly to stay in your campground,  I shouldn't be able to hear three different conversations from 3 sites surrounding me,  inside my RV, with the windows shut and the doors closed. You really pack em in. For that reason, our return is unlikely without change.

Totally overprized. 25$would be ok. The Site is very nice but narrow . Unfortunatelly it is not really well maintained. Bathroom old and not clean
