Great campground Matt was very helpful in letting us know what's around the area. camp grounds right on the water only drawback is it's not full hookup no sewers but they do have a dump station. Grounds are very well maintained and bathrooms and showers have been kept very clean. We definitely will stay here again
We stayed here in early May. It snowed! Matt was great, checking in on us several times a day (not too many campers that time of year). Very clean bathroom/shower facilities. Beautiful views of the bridge, Mackinac Island, Round Island Lighthouse, and freighters going through the Straits!
What a great experience we had staying here! The sites are on grass & easily accessible. The bathrooms and showers are clean, and there is a mini store on site. There is also a recreation room with games and picnic tables. The camp person, Matt, was so very helpful and helped make our stay memorable. We asked where to go for dinner and he set us up with a fantastic place down the road, Blue Water Grill. He also called Vern, who drives a limo, for a shuttle to and from the restaurant. Vern also gave us a tour through the town of Macinaw City. Our server at Blue Water Grill, Caren, was excellent just like the food. Only draw back, no full service sites.
Friendly helpful staff. Sites are grass and hard pack dirt. 30/50 amp with water. All work well. Right on a private beach with view of bridge and island. WiFi free , a little slow connecting. Some OTA TV channels. Very neat and clean. Dump station available. 4 stars only because not full hookup Fills up on weekend, lots of kids and dogs but quiet hours are respected and all clean up after pet as no evidence on dog poo. Will definitely return.
They say they have 50 amp sites. After you ve paid and arrive there is when they tell you the 50 amp sites are all taken by the full-time people. We barely had room to back into our spot because the tent campers car and truck were parked so close in the road. They also advertise a nice view of the bridge but that s only from a couple of sites. Pricey for an old trailer park.
