| Great park!

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

This is a very attractive park with brick pavers lining the interior roads. Lots of palm trees that add to the beach ambience. Decent spacing between sites with the gazebos being closest. The sites are concrete and some are painted. Our site was long enough for our MH and wide enough to park the car next to it. The entry to our site was pretty steep, and we worried about dragging but all was good. As they are owner owned, each site is different. They all have gazebos and sheds some more elaborate than others. Some have a small guest house. Some have outdoor furniture and grills although ours did not. There are two pools, one screened and one not. There is a clubhouse with laundry, bathrooms and a couple of sitting areas. There is no housekeeping so you have to clean up after yourself. The internet worked great most of the time; however, it would kick you off sometimes. Directv satellite worked fine in our site. They also have an amazing cable line up of about 100 channels. Verizon was 4g 3 bars. The trash bin is strangely located outside the park and down a short street. You are responsible for disposing of your trash. There is only one point of contact, and he is really busy. I found texting to be the best way to contact him. The beach and shopping are a 10 minute drive. Biking is also an option. Gulf State park has a myriad of multi-purpose trails that we rode on many times. There are Happy Hours everywhere and it was fun to try out different places. One tip the office is located at the end of the first street and there is no turnaround. If you know your site number, park first then go to the office. We truly enjoyed our time here and plan to return!
