I think this place is a hidden gem. Granted it's a bit dated, but it's spacious, very quiet, uncrowded (understatement), and there a nature trail in the park. It also borders a river. We didn't use any facilities, but it was a great overnight stop.
Very nice campground nestled right off Highway 20. Very friendly and helpful owners! A lot of pull through sites. Would be happy to return!!
A little run down, very accomodating owner and very nice residents
It's right off of I-20, so very easy to access. The new owners have made some upgrades, but it is still just an "overnight" park with minimal amenities. We've stayed here several times, and will stay again because it is convenient and the price is right.
Buildings are run down. No bathroom facilities. WiFi did not work. No one works the office after 5 PM on weekdays (not sure about weekends).
New owner has made many improvements. Many more promised. Clean, quiet and conveniently close to restaurants and shopping.
We stayed here 5-31-2017. Nice neat and well kept place. We had no children with us but if you do they have a nice playground for children. Would definitely stay here again when coming through the area. I'd give it a 5
Stayed 4 nights, the park was old but clean. I felt safe there. The HWY is very close and the truck traffic is heavy.
The current owner bought it a little over a year ago. He's done alot and he's doing more. They greeted us outside with a smile and a hand shake, then showed me to my site, asked if I was happy with it, then told me to stop at the office when I got to it. It's clean, has a great play room with big tv, pool table, kitchen, nice showers and laundry. This is a great place, I wish I had more time, I'd stay right here. You can't beat it !

I can't say enough about how wonderful the owners are. They've had ownership about a year and have added lots of new uogrades & are still working hard at adding more. Spots are level & they are overall very accommodating. When in Tyler, stay here!
This is our second stay in 2 years and we saw improvements all around the park. Special touches including new Barbecue grills with the charcoal provided at each site! There was an outdoor carpet under each picnic table. I saw but didn’t use the new restrooms. There was plenty of room to park our 5th wheel. New owner has been busy. And he welcomes veterans with 1/2 price fee and if you are a disabled vet (as my husband is) the price is $10.00 a night. WOW! So impressed with their customer service and concerns for any needs. New bathrooms, excellent location near I-20, new bar-b-que pits at each site. Really like the owners.
We had the opportunity to spend the night at Texas Rose this year and this report is all good. The electrical service, sewer and water were conveniently located and recent. The bathrooms were brand new, the laundry room also new and well applianced. The park owner Ricky and his wife (sorry her name eludes me) were fantastic and accommodating. The little details were great. Where do you go and have a grill setup with charcoal waiting. Would definitely stay again, safe clean and friendly.
