We usually travel much longer than we should. We had missed all the other options and were looking for a place late at night. We arrived after 10 PM. The small community park was packed. This is definitely a busy and well – known park. I get it. That's not an issue. That was totally my fault for arriving too late to a free park. The issue is it's located right next to train tracks. I would've paid $30-$50 per night to not be woken up by that train that blast it's horn 6 AM.
There are trains and they are loud, but the stay is free for 24 hrs. So what's to complain about. Thanks to the city of Dumas.
Nice little park, but train tracks about 100 feet away and trains came by every 1-2 hours overnight blowing their horn! We won't stay again. Left a donation.
Awesome park for a quick stop over. Big, clean, safe l, and shades park right next to the free RV sites was perfect for the kids. There are about 15 electrical boxes but more space for dry campers who come in late. There is a small in the air if a near by stockyard but no other neighboring issues. I wish other cities did this. Thank you City of Dumas! We will return.
We have stopped here at Texhoma Park 3-times in last 6yrs & enjoy the Over Night facilities the City Park provides!! 30 & 50 Electrical,, Water & Sewerage location,, Dog walks,, Tent Camping,, all for Free !??! No, No, there is a Donation Box for your 24hrs stay So Please Give Ur Fair Share if not More because the City of Dumas, Tx. has had this available to RV'ers for sometime !!! Maybe more Cities will follow by example and Let's Keep Our Parks Clean AL & Judy from Weslaco,Texas
Very thankful to the people of Dumas Tx for this nice park to stay at while passing through. It's nothing fancy but still very nice.
Provided by the town , free of charge , gravel parking lot with 50a ,dump station and water spigot . Dog walk and dumpster . Great little park , wish more towns would do this
Plenty of space and the price was right! Just the basics, electricity was all we needed. Located by the RR tracks, but not thStay on the Lower road to access the park. Great propane and fuel station directly west. Thanks Dumas!
24 hour roomy parking for free as service of city of Dumas. There is a box to donate (we did). Level, paved 30/50 amp service. good power. Bathrooms in park, no showers. Playground. Pet area. One block from main street. Sewer and water spicket by trashbins. Definitely would use again.
What a great spot to stay the night safely.. a RV forum gave us this info for a stop in the middle of the night and easy to find right off the highway coming from NM to hill country Texas... full hookups and safe park space.... early wake up and refuel and back on the highway to our final destination for thanksgiving with family.... thank you Dumas TX for creating this amazing RV overnight park.
We were the only ones here. Had 50 and 30 amp electric, a dump station, and a water station. Close to the railroad tracks but we really didn t notice them every few hours. We would definitely stay here again.
Paved/gravel lot mostly level with a few water filled ruts in 2-3 spots. Electric 30/50 amp at each spot, water and sewage dump near the dumpsters. I love hearing the trains so that would never be a complaint of mine, however there was an older woman living out of a van that pulled up with her minivan full of big loud dogs (4) tied all of them up to the only picnic table in the shade and proceeded to nap back and forth on the table and in her van while letting her dogs bark non stop for hours. Not sure if she's a regular there, we were just passing thru.
30 / 50 amp electricity. You can stay for 24 hours. Oh and it s free, with a great park for the kids on the premises. Will definitely be back. It s basically one big gravel pad with electrical hookups. And, there are loud trains very close... fortunately the kids sleep right through them.

Great stop for over night. Train tracks near but hardly noticeable train comes through about every 3 hours. Would stay here again in a minute. Added funds to their donation box hope it helps.
