Reviews for The Emerald Forest of Trinidad

| Too crowded

Stayed 3 nights to tour the area. Very crowded although it was pretty amongst the trees. Sites small, and all dirt or pine needles. 2 bathrooms close to us, toilet/shower combo, dirty and old. Stayed in a 26 foot trailer, and barely had room to park the truck. Will go somewhere else next time

Close to 101 freeway. Very tight manuevering to get into RV sites for rigs over 30 feet. Picnic table and fire ring at site. Good wifi and Verizon signal. Small store on site. Close to coast and Humbolt Marine Center.

Clean showers, not crowded, wide spaces that even I could back into! Friendly staff too.

This place is so beautiful! The sites are spacious, lovely trees and grounds, nice clean bathhouse and helpful staff. Dog friendly too! I was on a 5 week, multistate trip and this was my favorite campsite of all. I stayed in August 2018, and would certainly want to visit again.

Second time here and still great. Office staff very helpful on check-in. Site was fairly level, spacious and private. Picnic table and fire ring. Staff cleaned up site and swept leaf litter away from fire ring and table. Firewood available at office. Cable TV in transition and not available till end of month. Verizon had 3 bars. Wifi was ok - very slow. Will definitely return.

| Magical

Wonderful campground minutes from Trinidad. Camp among the giant redwoods, in a mystical forest. We stayed in one of the cabins 10 years ago and always said we would come back to the campground which we did last summer. Very nice!

This place is so nice! Dog park, playground, since showers, arcade, dishwashing stations. And you are right with the redwoods! Highly recommend!

| Beautiful Redwood setting

This park had more of a State Park feel then a commercial rv park. A more natural setting with the Redwoods and one mile to the coast. We parked our RV at a tent site, $35 per a night with no hookups. Full hookups are available. The tent site was Not a level site but it worked. The showers were awesome, private with heated floor.

This RV Park is in a very natural setting under the redwoods close to the beaches and big trees. We stayed for a week so thoroughly visited the area and appreciated the close proximity to the 101 except when sitting at the RV park trying to enjoy a quiet day. There is a lot of freeway noise for those sites right up against the 101. Fortunately, by night time the traffic lightens and our sleep was not affected by the traffic noise. We were cold for the entire week we stayed at our site, which was a great large site under the towering redwoods, because our site was always shaded. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water for the many visitors at this RV Park - it was full most of the time we were there. Our site was not level which did require a shift of position mid-week to get drainage for the black water. There was also a water leak at the spiget when we arrived but the staff promptly took care of the problem so no wet site. Loved the nearby town of Trinidad.
