We stayed 4 nights September 12-15 2015. The campground is very neat and orderly. The sites are near the road and a little noisy. The management is very nice and friendly. We would return. We were there in a 27' travel trailer.

| Close to family

This is a no frills RV park. We never saw or met anyone that works there. We only spoke on the phone to make the reservation. There is road noise from Hwy 345 but it s not terrible. The park is mostly long term with 14 or so sites for daily rental. Some of the long term sites were a bit neglected but overall not too bad. All daily sites back up to a pond and are all back-in. Sites are gravel/sand. There is a small strip of grass between sites and no privacy. They are pretty insistent that you don t park on the grass as sparse as it is. We along with other visitors had to park our tow vehicles sideways (avoiding the grass of course) to fit in the spot. Sites are in the open and there is no shade. The WII FI works ok but slows down considerably at times. Luckily, there is no password as we received no information on the park we had to hunt for a trash bin. Directv worked fine. Verizon was strong at 4g 4/5 bars. Pretty pricey for what you get even in the off season. We might return again but only because the park is close to family.

| Good camping alternative to the outer banks

We stayed here to explore the outer banks. Very nice basic campground. Clean and quiet. Convenient to the outer banks but not on the outer banks. Would stay again using as a base.
