We stayed here in Sept 2014 and loved it. Small operation. Great shade and nice RV park all around.
The Roost Resort Resort is located just outside of Custer, SD. It is a beautiful, well maintained, small campground. Although close to town, we watched deer in a nearby field from our campsite. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate-about the cleanest we have ever seen. One of the really nice features is that it is near a walking/bike path that goes all the way to Custer. We found walking to town and back a great way to enjoy the outside. There are lots of things to do in the area. This resort was close enough to all of the attractions to be convenient. Still it seemed an oasis of calm in a busy area. We have stayed at this park twice. Both times the showers were cold. Really tough on a cold day anyway. I would probably not stay at this park again. Just don't like cold showers. There seem to be lots of other RV parks in the area.
