First time for our stay at this site. Volunteers run this city-owned facility very well. Very popular because of it's proximity to Dallas and Ft. Worth so make your reservations early. A short distance into Grapevine, Texas hence the site's name, the Vineyards. Many attractions in the area - good restaurants with reasonable prices, shopping in Grapevine Mills, one of the Nation's largest malls, as well as many charming antique and specialty shops. Bass Pro shop very nearby. Small shop on site. The bath house and bathrooms are small but are maintained to high standards. You will enjoy this getaway near the cities of Dallas and Ft. Worth.

Second time here
By user-2364002 on 2017-10-23.
My wife and I stayed in this park two years ago. Impossible to believe but it is better than it was before! Cleanliness of the rest rooms, tidiness of the grounds, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. A bit pricy at $49 a night but worth every cent. We were in a pull-through but they also have back-in sites probably at a lessor cost. A nice mix of locals and long distance travelers. Great attractions, restaurants, and mega shopping in the surrounding area. We were in a 17 foo Casita travel trailer.

Recommend slot #12. Staff is great but we arrived during wash room upgrades. Looking forward to next visit in July.

Great place for your big rig, really nice staff we found to be very accommodating. Really clean paved sites on the lake. One of the few park's we found with rv detailing that do a great job, and oil change service. Both at a very reasonable price.

Will not stay here again

We arrived and were given our space. No one said it was anything but level. The space had at least a 5% grade that made it very difficult to level my motor home. I asked for a different spot and was told they were full for the weekend. The spot behind was empty and level. On Saturday morning, I walked the campground and found 4 empty spaces. I asked again to move and was told NO. On Sunday morning, I again walked the campground and found 3 of the 4 spots I saw on Saturday empty. The one behind me was again empty.
Staff not at all helpful and once I expressed my displeasure with my location, they became less helpful. All I can say is that for $50.00 + per night, I expect the staff to be more helpful and the sites to be level.

Pleasant surprise!

The Vineyards campground is awesome! We were nervous about finding a good park after reading so many awful reviews in the Dallas area. What a pleasant surprise to pull into this city-run oasis! Sites are so well laid out that you have privacy and the lake views are awesome. We can’t wait to go back for a family reunion and rent some cabins for our rv-less family. Park is very clean, nice laundry facilities, golf cart and kayak rentals, horseshoes, volleyball, great playground. Highly recommend!

We have family in Dallas and Fort Worth so this park was the perfect central location. Grapevine is such a cute little town and has some great restaurants! The park is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Many of the sites have shade trees and we didn't feel like we were packed in like at other RV parks. We like to run, walk, hike and the trails nearby were an added plus. Love that they have cabins as well for family members without rv/camping equipment. Can't wait to return!

My family stayed here while traveling from South Carolina on a road trip across the country. We were pulling a 44' fifth wheel and had no problems navigating in or out of the park. The staff was great! The park really goes above and beyond by having a lot of free activities (Masage, Snow Cones, Doughnuts, etc) for everyone to enjoy. My wife appreciated that the washers and dryers all worked well. We enjoyed being close to everything in the DFW area but espically enjoyed the city of Grapevine itself. We would definitely stay here again.
