Reviews for The Virginian Lodge RV Resort

| Nice park, great location to see Jackson, WY

By user-6282435... on 2017-10-23.

This RV park is great if you want a decent, safe place to stay in Jackson that is convenient to everything in town. It's across the street from a free "Town Shuttle" that runs every half hour and goes everywhere. We pulled in, parked and set up, and then grabbed the shuttle and has a great night on the town. DO NOT go to this park is you want to sit outside, enjoy a fire and set up camp to hang out. DO go to this park if you want to party and shop and see that all of in-town Jackson has to offer. The sites are grassy but narrow, the water pressure is only decent, the bathrooms are very clean and well maintained and the park is pet friendly. Most sites are pull in, there is no tent camping. Yes, it's pricey for an RV park but way cheaper than a hotel. DO NOT MISS breakfast at the restaurant! The public library is across the street from the park entrance and there is a nice little park behind it.

First off we had to call quite a few times to get through because it kept going through to voicemail, when we finally got someone to answer I was put in hold for 20minutes over hearing personal conversations where I was clearly forgotten about and so I gave up and hung up. My husband then called and was able to get a hold of someone, we clearly communicated that we were looking for a pull through site for an SUV and 30 travel trailer and they reserved one for us, when we got there they mixed up our site and led us to a tiny back up site. We were pretty disappointed. Luckily we found a nicer RV location and will never come back to the Virginian. Overall very unprofessional service and treatment of customers. Don't waste your time.

We spent a couple of nights after being in National Parks. Nice laundry and showers. Full hook ups with cable. Pull through level sites. Nice staff. Tight spots but not unacceptable.

| Expensive

By user-6731089... on 2017-10-23.

what a disappointment!! We paid paid $63 with A 10% discount to be parked next to a bathroom where all the men come and (secret)smoke. they must be hiding from their wives!! anyway, there seem to be cheaper better place around. I will never stay here again.

| Pricey but worth it

It is pricey but about the same cost as any other Rv park in the area. The staff was very friendly. The park is well kept and it is quiet and peaceful. Very close to town, about a mile away. Free shuttle service stop to town is located less than a block away.

| Over priced

This an older RV park and very pricey. Cost us $145.00 for two nights with the Good Sam discount

My wife and I stopped for one night. They were very friendly and accommodating. You can wash your rv. The laundry room was clean and everything worked. We would definitely stay again.

The facilities were nice! People were great but overpriced for what we got!

| This place sucks. Very pricey.

A good place to skip.

Convenient to downtown Jackson, can walk everywhere. Small tight sites. Pricey.

| Not cheap but great facilities

See the marleymom review 6/8/14 she sums it up very well. We paid $77 a night. Expensive. But consider there was no motel room under $160, the is the night of the season, we are one mile from the town square and, well we weren't expecting cheap. You don't get wilderness but tiu do get grassy lots well taken care of, very clean bathrooms, full hookup,WiFi the works (sort of),some. Cable TV, a pool & hot tub, convenient location to major attractions. The next few days we will be in the wilderness but today, a little pampering....

| Stupid expensive, a total ripoff

By user-6099702... on 2017-10-23.

But the only game in town. I suppose it's okay as far as mediocre RV parks go. Jackson itself is equally overpriced and probably overrated.

Pros: grassy area for our dogs. Laundry was well maintained and cheaper than some parks. The people were friendly and accommodating. Cons: tight parking and pot holes coming into the park.

| Nice location, friendly staff

Park appears to be well kept. Landry, showers and restrooms are centrally located. Sites are gravel with plenty of grass and a tree, although small. A friendly staff member met me when I pull in and since I had reserved a site he directed me there and said I could register after I was parked. All staff were courteous and explained everything in detail. Gave me a bus schedule for the free bus ride to downtown. Pull through sites with electric, up to 50 amp, water, sewer, cable and WiFi are available. The rates are the highest of any I have paid but when you consider the location and cost of hotel rooms it's not that far off. Only cons I have seen so far is the WiFi is slow, but with the number of campers and possibly hotel guest using it i can understand why. Also there are a number of dogs and while most are under control I had the unfortunate luck of being next to a camper with at least three dogs that barked at every dog that was being walked past. I would recommend this RV park to anyone and would stay again the next time through.

| Wrong Address

By user-5870693... on 2017-10-23.

We just pulled into this park. Be aware that the address on their website is WRONG. IT IS NOT ON Broadway. The Lodge is on Broadway. Do not turn into the Lodge lot. The RV Park is on Virginian Lane, two blocks off Broadway. Turn south on Virginian Lane, just to the West of the Virginian Lodge. I'm sure we will enjoy the park, and I will write an overall rating later, but wanted others who are headed this way to be warned.

| Great location for Jackson Hole

By user-6697942... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-08-17 to 2015-08-19

This is a superb spot for your RV whilst you explore Jackson Hole. We were in a camper and not pulling a car, so we found the free town bus a great option to get in and out of town. Having said that it was less than a mile walk into town but we had young kids with us so opted for the bus. The sites aren't the best we've come across but the proximity to town more than makes up for that. Great pool and hot tub, warm clean showers and a decent laundry. It is a bit pricey but no more expensive than a KOA with similar facilities. Friendly staff. Recommended.

| Okay place to see Jackson

By user-5904348... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-07-21 to 2015-07-23

This is an okay CG within walking distance to downtown (1 mile). The proximity for shops & restaurants is good, also. It's a bit pricey, but so is Jackson, so to be expected. The CG is clean. Actually, this is our 2nd stay here. Pull-thru sites are tight, so must unhook the toad and park sideways in front or back of MH. Not a lot of room between RVs, but can sit outside. Sites are gravel and ours was level. Just a handful of cable channels. WiFi worked well during day, but was slow at night. It is what it is...you're visiting a tourist trap. This served a purpose in a touristy area. We would stay here again for the proximity. We stayed in a motorhome.

| Great

By user-5302526... on 2018-07-06.

This place has no negatives. Everything offered is here. I think some people need to realize that when you say in a resort area, walking distance to great food, and a free bus to downtown it comes with a price. We spent 2 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our exploring downtown Jackson and the food here is awesome.

| Great location but nothing fancy

Great location. Anything you need within minutes. Expensive for what it is though. Gravel lot, sites are level. Laundry was a little outdated but tons of room and the cheapest yet. The best thing about this RV park are the managers. Super nice helpful people. When I checked in I had a line of people waiting to check in as well, and the gentleman checking me in didn't rush. He took his time to explain the park and tell me about town.

| Great location..be aware this is an 'urban' park

By user-5415493... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-28 to 2019-06-30

Park location was great...a short 1 mile walk/ride into downtown Jackson. Park itself was pricey and not very private, but given the location this is to be expected.

Very convenient to down town. Sites are ok but need some work. Only 6 shower for the whole RV park. WIFI is very weak.
