Spent 2 nights. Very nice! No buffalo but lots of prairie dogs. If you haven't made reservation arrive early to get a spot. We were blessed. Have to be a Senior with a pass for the low rate, Hostess was a peach! First night a storm came through and in advance the ranger came through to warn us about our awning. Greatly appreciated.

Cheap and nice. Right by the river which the kids enjoyed playing in. The bathrooms were a mess and stunk, only reason not 5 stars. The volunteer host was very helpful. We reserved online which is very nice.

This absolutely a park to visit and stay. It's cheap, clean and Bison every where. One is camped on our site and it's just wonderful to be able to see him up close and personal. We stay our distance and don't bother him and he comes and goes all day long. Hiking is wonderful and plenty trails. we seen wild horses, pronghorn, white tailed Deer and prairie Dogs and of course lots of Bison. It's just beautiful.

WOW. Loved this park and campground. The traffic jam on the way into the campground could be excused, due to the cause... Bison, lots of Bison, of all ages. There are volunteers that were more than helpful in pointing out open spots. The Bison came through while I was setting up, so that slowed things down, then one decided that my wee tent trailer looked like a likely scratching spot, so that made things rock for a bit! I had a spot near the entrance, where the self check in station is located. The downside were the other campers, why everyone feels the need to idle their rigs whilst yelling back and forth parking instructions and campground rules I'm not sure... But they did. Also, if you get to the park late, you can't try to park where you feel led, the nice Ranger man will make you move, even if you have the largest rig this side if the rockies. This park is a gem, I hope to return.

Only reason not a five, power would have been nice, but still a great experience. Buffalo walked right Campground right at dark, that was really neat.

Wanted one day , ended up staying two. Herd of Buffalo were at our site first day. Some sites are river front. No hook-ups. Water is available. Primitive sites only. We are self contained so don't care. I'm old so 7 bucks. It is a must do. Host was more than helpful. Stayed 5/27-29/ 2019

A great place to stay. Half are saved for walk ins and you should get there by 9:00 to get one. Probably earlier if a summer weekend.
