Cost was $0 as we are TT members. This is our first visit and had no problems finding a full hookup site. Found a spot (R1) with shade and no problem finding Directv sat. Lake full with access if you want. Great staff and restrooms clean but a little outdated, but that can be said for all TT's. Site was almost level and was paved. Room for motorhome and toad. Raods are better than most in the TT system. Will be back again.

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend, the park is run down in areas. It has rained a lot lately, this meant the ramps to the fishing docks are underwater. There were downed trees. Several areas needed mowing. The massive thunderstorm caused power outages which caused power problems. The ranger station only sales ice so if you need something you will need to drive to town. San Antonino is not far if you want to dine out. There is also lots of activities for kids, including horseshoes, swings, play sets, etc.

Nice and quiet. Enjoyed watching the deer walk through the camp every night!

I paid big for Elite membership 10 yrs ago. I have used it and loved it and have seen most of the country with it. This is one campground I will never return to. I booked 2 weeks, 3 was available. I was told my 40 ft 5th wheel would fit. Granted, 1000 trails is rustic. This is ridiculous. The turns are so tight, the trees are overgrown. Now, remember, I've been doing this about 10 yrs. State parks, boondocking, private parks, ROD RPI... This park sucks and my insurance is getting me a new roof because a tree that was trimmed just enough to get by ( maybe 2 yrs ago) took a shark attack down the side of my rig. Not happy. That said, the best sites to get in are all annual, not open for regular members. The only place I could get in is a water electric only. Mind you again, I can back up with the best of them and pulled into some sites only to find the "trimmed trees" were good for travel trailers and not a 5th wheel. Had to back out. So disappointed in this. I was excited to have found a place only 700 miles from home. Looks like Lake Conroe will be my next stop after the insurance and Repair are done. Too bad. It has potential.

Park is nestled deep in the hill on a beautiful lake. Was disappointed that all the lake view sites were water and electric only and most were reserved for annual members, but did find one a row back. Nicely shaded. Great view of the lake. Bathrooms were clean but dated. The deer meandering the park was cool, was able to hand feed one as well. Stayed an extra night to enjoy. Would definitely stay again. Thousand Trails member so no cost.

Another Thousand Trails that is well past its prime with little effort being put in to it. Ruts, low branches, no cable or wifi. Phone reception not too good either. When they have electrical problems with a box, they don't fix them, they just paint them red and tell you not to park there (you have to drive around and find a site). Lots if deer running around the campground. If you want to visit San Antonio, pick somewhere closer. This one is 40 miles away.

Arrived after a long day of driving and was thrilled to have finally arrived. The posting telling you that you must go to the office across the way needs to be displayed better. Calling the office from the number posted at the entrance gate with gates down but no one in attendance I was told to backup and come to the office to register. It doesn t matter if you are preregistered you have to go in. Then I was told drive around the sites available and pick one. No help in locating the spots or help with backing up into a spot. Very disappointed in this campground. Very much off the beaten path and the roads getting to the site are not maintained. It appears there are a lot of dear that visit.

Unfortunately, we are getting tires of Thousand Trails CP. More of them are run down, electrical issues, building closed. TT, seems to be taking in $$$ through membership, but not spending it on the CG. Campground: Friendly Staff - Check Overfilled garbage - Check Electrical issues - Check Over grown areas - Check Buildings closed - Check Behind in maintenance - Check Trees overgrown on spaces - Check Medina lake RV, is a local camping destination. This allows TT LLC, not to reinvest funds back into CP
