Holidays

We are a TTN member and use to go to this park quite often, but now we live out of state and every time we try to get a reservation during the holidays they are full. With over 800 sites you would think they would have something, too many annual sites that aren't being used. Here it is the middle of October and can't get a site for the week between Christmas and New Years. It was so much nicer when they were a private park.

Park has undergone major upgrades in the last 6 months. Plenty of 50 amp sites now. Wifi throughout the park. Still work to be done but it's getting there. Handy for Disney etc

We belong to Thousand Trails and are very impressed with this park. They also honor other camping programs like, RPI, Passport America etc. The sites are quite large. Most sites are level and a lot are paved with a patio area. It's a very large campground of I think about 860 sites with lots of bath houses. Most bath houses have a laundry with about eight washers and eight dryers. You must use tokens to operate the machines. There are two pools and a hot tub. The activity center is a little older and in need of updates. There are lots of activities for adults and children. Pets are welcome. People and staff are very friendly. It's very difficult to get a 50 amp site. They have a small store with very basic items and a concession stand that's closed more than its open. They let you receive mail here and have a mail room that is fairly organized. You are not far from the attractions in Disney area.

This is the headquarters of 1000 Trails. It is attractive at the entrance, but inside it is old and run down back where you park your RV. The sewer opening we had was drilled out of a concrete slab with a matching concrete stopper jammed into it. I had to use a hammer to get it open, then the shape did not accept well the modern sewer hose donut end. They say they accept RVs in at 11 am in the summer, but no one was at the desk. I had to get someone to come over from another area, and she was not able to check us in. A man from the main office finally got us in. The strangest thing is that sites are not assigned. You are told to go in and find an open site, then call them to tell them which one you will be staying in. The place they told us to go to was full, so we went around until we found something. There is a lake at the back where you can launch a kayak or canoe if you like. Very many full time residents here, mostly in park models. Very close to Disney, which is why many are there. A very large fifth wheel rolled into the slot next to us by a man who would be staying there a year while working at Disney. The parks around there seem have this in common. It is all about location, so the condition of the sites apparently is overlooked. Does not give a good impression of 1000 Trails, though they hand you an envelope with a sales pitch inside to get you to join. I think I'll pass.

Stayed at all three over last 2 weeks (AUG 2015).
Only wifi is in the activities center. we were told they are still deciding what vendor to use. Propane pumps did not work. Tech could only put in 1.5 gal then would not pump more. CG layout is difficult to navigate when trying to pick out your site. CG map and grounds are off. Power (DO NOT connect without a MGT SYS such as Progressive Industries) 50amp sites are spread out (and taken) unless you upgrade and pay more for upgraded sites. Our PI unit kept disconnecting us due to low voltage and the park is only 1/4 full. They know about the power issues as they put a large disclaimer in the map/book (pg9) "...not responsible for any damages you may receive due to power outages, electrical down time, ..." Horrible when staying with pets.

Staff very helpful & accommodating. Sites on the perimeter are more private. Pull-thrus seem to be where they send all newcomers & can be crowded. Some sites paved, others are dirt. Paved sites may not be level so keep an eye on this wherever you land. Driving distance to all the Disney parks. Be prepared for TRAFFIC! Hwy 27 under construction north of the park & restricted to one lane in each direction between Hwy 50 & the park. Hwy 192 into Orlando & Disney parks consistently has heavy traffic.

Large pool, but the playground is a joke. They have horseshoes, putput golf, and lots of planned events. Very crowded. RVs literally within feet of each other, almost touching. Nice bathrooms and showers, good staff. Very easy parking and driving.

Very nice park

I really like this park. Ended up here when we were chased out of SC by Florence. The sites are huge. You have the choice of pull through or back in. Our site has a paved area for the rv, very level. Grassy area all around with a picnic table. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The laundry room is in good condition. Haven't used the bath houses so can't comment on them. All in all: wonderful.

It was very nice it was was quite and well maintained. The only thing is you are parked right next to the neighbor's rv but it still wasn't bad. We will go back

We have stayed twice at this resort, and each time it was three weeks. They are the model for what campgrounds (resort is a stretch) should be like. The D section great for those who like a more state park experience. There is some room between you and the neighbor, but it is filed with trees and bushes. Bathrooms are good quality and cared for. The other sections A through C etc are all big parking lot kind of open spaces. There are over 800 spaces so the cell tower is challenged with congestion for everyone doing Netflix on the same carrier. If you need internet it has been suggested to get a temporary T-Mobile account for unlimited data and try that.
