Thousand Trails membership park
By user-5837771... on 2017-10-23.
This resort is pretty standard Thousand Trails. You can feel safe here and they enforce the rules so the experience will be good. There are quite a few activities here and the surrounding area has endless restaurants. The resort is next to I-10 so there is always some traffic sound. On the other side of the freeway are train tracks that are busy day and night. The train noise doesn't seem too bad to me, but I like the trains so you will need to judge for yourself. Climate here is awesome and comfortable in the winter but unbearably hot in summer. Resort is closed in summer and full of "snowbirds" in the winter.

I didn't stay
By user-5873127... on 2017-10-23.
But I drove by twice a day for a week. Just so you know, it's RIGHT ON I-10. And it's surrounded by undeveloped desert, so when the winds blow, you should count on lots of sand.

Second time we've stayed. Despite perpetual noise from I-10 and railroad track, the beauty and winter weather are unbeatable. Clean restrooms, helpful staff, and guarded entrance. Nice pool, LOTS of park-sponsored activities, plus pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, etc.

Great place
By user-5883140... on 2017-10-23.
Nested among the palm trees with good clean facilities thus is one if the best places we have stayed in CA. Some traffic noise, dusty sand , and packed pretty tight, pay wifi. But good Verizon pretty palm trees, great staff. We are members so it was free to us.

Worst Thousand Trails experience EVER

TRULY NO STARS, dirty, DIRTY park, nothing like the photos. Not maintained, potholes and some narrow interior roads with sharp turns for a big rig.
Sticker burrs everywhere and dog "parks" are a joke.
Will NEVER stay here again, left early as soon as we found another place to stay. Supposedly as as Thousand Trails members our reservation guaranteed us a space for our 38ft 5th wheel, what a farce.
Its a free for all ,I don't think the seasonal employees know how to work the computer reservations system. They don't know who is supposed to check out or when. We made our reservation months in advance, but THE ONLY SPACE WHEN WE ARRIVED OM A WED, WAS NEXT TO THE DUMPSTER AND COULD MAYBE FIT AN 18 FT TRAILER MAX. They had little camper vans occupying 50 ft pull thru spaces. You just drive in and find a spot, then go tell the office where you are. We called the check in office after we drove every aisle and could not find a spot, and were told they had "lots of spaces open". I said tell me where and we will go there. She says oh I don't know, we haven't checked to see if people have checked out today (this was at 4pm). She said we could park outside the park and wait to see if anyone leaves later on, but she couldn't tell me which space numbers should be vacated and said she has to go because more people were checking in. HUH?? - where we they going to stay with only one open space in the entire park by that Dumpster.
A TOTAL NIGHTMARE, If I had not had good experience at another 1000 Trails I would have cancelled my membership. However, this did convince me NOT TO CONSIDER UPGRADING MY MEMBERSHIP.

Palm Springs fun
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Hot and dusty but great. Did a back in spot and spent 4 days in the area. A great location, tight getting into my spot due to trees but once in, it was great. Water pressure and comms were super. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Will be back.
