Basic overnight park
By user-4946931... on 2018-03-14.
This park is very basic, no pool, no nothing. Just a big grassy/gravel area in an industrial part of town, but close to the French Quarter. Train runs behind the park. They offer Passport America rate, which is 1/2 off. $27 for 30 amp and $33 for 50 amp. We just planned on an overnighter, so good for our needs.

Safe. Trains at night, but you get used to them, even the shaking of the coach! Close to downtown. Only one washer and dryer. I left with lots of dirty clothes, I was never able to use them. Nice management.

Park is very basic but safe and has full hook-ups for a reasonable price. Make reservations because it often fills up.

Basic, clean, safe

After two nights at Walmart, we really enjoyed the full hook-up site with outside camping table and chair, very clean bathrooms (only one for females and one for men, so it might get busy during shower rush hour) and safety. Trains pass by and honk as well as do cars and trucks on the street, but we did not hear a lot of it (so did not feel disturbed), because we kept running our air condition continuously.
Originally, we planned to stay one night, but ended up staying four nights, because the location close to the French Quater is very convenient! Furthermore, staff is really great!

Nice park new French Quarter

This is a very basic small RV park nestled between a motel and junkyard. There is a working traintrack in the back, but the noise was minimal. We choose this park for the close proximity to the French Quarter. It does have showers, laundry (2.00 to wash, 1.00 to dry), a guest lounge and gated entrance. While ths neighborhood looks a little rough, we felt very safe in the park and enjoyed the time we stayed.

A good campground to park your camper if you are visiting attractions in New Orleans. It isn t a place to hang out poolside (no pool) or other amenities to hang out at the park. There is a clean shower house. There are three rv parks on this road. This one is gated, clean, and has spacious spots to back into. There is a railroad by it but minimum train distraction

Electrical problems

This park looked fine, although nothing fancy, until we plugged in our surge protector. We checked 2 other sites and they had even lower power levels. The power level and frequency were so low that our surge protector would not allow any power to our RV. The maintenance man told us surge protectors could go bad and I replied that it was used last night with no problem. He had a meter and just kept telling us it was 240 volt. We did not stay. We were told we would be credited within a few days. Our surge protector was fine at the next park, confirming their power problems.

Great option for New Orleans

We found this to be a diamond in the rough. The manager was very helpful and keeps the park clean and we'll maintained. Was doing new gravel, and was out mowing while we were there. He lives on site, so help always available. There are fences and a locked gate after 7pm.
We used Uber, about $12-15 to town. Very convenient. Bus is right across the street too.
Asked about another camper's concern about electric. Manager said he had the electric company and someone else come to check and no problems were found. The electric was fine the whole 5 days we were there.
Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when near New Orleans.

Update to electrical problems
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
After several weeks waiting for a refund from our half hour in this park looking for usable power, I had to contact my credit card company to take care of it. All I got from this park was a run around. I could never recommend this joke of a park.
